ACEF and ACEA will participate in several sessions at the forum including an exclusive Multilateral Development Bank Circular Economy Working Group roundtable on 15 April and a session titled, Does location matter for the energy transition? ACEF is the only multi-donor trust fund dedicated to mainstreaming circular economy in Africa established by the African Development Bank Group to unlock numerous opportunities for Africa while preserving climate progress as the continent's population flourishes.

The Bank also hosts the ACEA Secretariat. ACEA serves as a collaborative platform to spur Africa's transition to a circular economy at the country, regional and continental levels by operating as a collaborative platform to coordinate and link the various initiatives on the continent. The ACEA's main intervention pillars include policy advisory, leadership & advocacy, as well as projects and business scale-up.

The annual World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) presents the world's leading circular economy solutions with business leaders, policymakers and experts participating from around the world. Circular economy approaches can help businesses seize new opportunities and gain a competitive advantage, as well as contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In Africa, the circular economy is not just an environmental imperative but a billion-dollar opportunity. It is also a powerful transformative tool to create substantial social impact, including job creation and resource conservation, thereby fostering a thriving, resilient Africa.

WCEF is a global initiative of Finland and Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund. The forum has been held since 2017, growing bigger and more powerful each year.
