The "African Oil Politics" blog is an attempt to focus attention on key issues driving change in Africa and abroad: global business, international relations, energy security, war & conflict studies, demographics, political economy, technology, organized crime, corruption, environment...

It's a means to study both Africa's integration to the global system and the global players' strategies to integrate Africa to their own game. These players being security council permanent members (US, UK, China, Russia, France), their transnational corporations, NGOs, as well as their african partners.

The blog also helps me share my views with my online visitors and connect with the main players of the issues discussed in the blog : researchers, consultants, analysts, journalists, activists, policy advisors, military officials, business managers...

The blog is a pipeline of ideas that will hopefully accelarate the spread of information about the african oil boom - through online distribution of reports, books or videos.

Welcome to the BlogAfrica Catalog

This is an open listing of Africa-related weblogs. If you are blogging from an African country or about African issues, please add your blog.

If you've already listed your blog here, you can come back any time to edit, or to add more details to your entry.

The BlogAfrica project is a loose collaboration between individuals at Geekcorps, allafrica.com, the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, and other friends across the web. AllAfrica is providing web tools, Geekcorps is providing support for our first workshops in Ghana, and Berkman is providing organizational and media help. For more information on the project, please contact Ethan Zuckerman.

The programming for the BlogAfrica Catalog and content feed was done by Guido Sohne and the staff at AllAfrica.
