In a characteristic manner, Africa is unable to produce a compromise candidate(s) for the proposed expanded permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council, five months to the deadline. If this opportunity is frittered away, Black Africans will remain the only race without representation in the most powerful organ of the United Nations, with the attendant negative implications.
