The on-going Somali Congress for Liberation and Reconstitution has elected a 191-member Central Council. The Congress spokesman and former Information Minister, Dr. Zekaria Mahmoud Abdu, said that the Council comprises of senior officials, politicians, diplomats, community elders, associations based abroad, the Union of Islamic Courts and others, thus representing all sections of Somali society.
