Women constitute about sixty percent of persons infected with HIV. Some of the women have transmitted the deadly disease to ten percent of infants across Borno state, governor Ali Modu Sheriff, has said. Sheriff disclosed this at an awareness program when members of the National Agency for the Control of Aids, (NACA), paid a visit to the state.
