On Wednesday September 26, 2007, Kampalans woke up to a shocking banner: "56 Bodies Stolen From Kayunga Graveyards" (Daily Monitor, September 26, 2007). Their shock, however, was nothing compared to that of the people of Kayunga itself, an hour's drive to the east of Kampala, who stood on the Sunday before to the sight of dug graves of their beloved ones.
