As we read everyday documents on Liberia, it seems impressive for what is presently shaping the future of the country. But it seems to me that the government is not doing much to close the gap between government and the people. We should not forget why we went to war because of nepotism, corruption, biggetry and the failure of national government to introduce decentralize institutions that would bring more right to every community to initiate development orientated map.

The manner in which most of Africa is run makes it more harder for community to be developed, because of the ineffectiveness of people appointed by the Presidency. This system has never worked and will never work, but only to work for those solely appointed and to their appointer. If we are talking about democracy, it is better to allow the various territory to have their own municipal leaders elected so as to be able take stock of their leadership ability, but whereas appointees who deem to only be responsible to the office of the presidency or president.

The distribution of the National wealth is also another area of check and balance which under the present stye of leadership does not seems to focuss much on how community are develope or promote welfare and social lives of our people. Now that we are starting fresh after all those years of neglect and suffering, this administration need to laid a solid foundation which will enhance the way for a national development program and creating road map for short and long term development activities.

The reasons for decentralization is to give the commer men and women to have a saying in what is going on in their community. But with the present system, we all know all over the world such system has become bias and it becomes very diffecult to question or probe their ilment.

Let us look to those community that are run under decentralized institutions, they're /well better off, no one is above the Law. I would expect Liberia to take a prudent lead in creating a system like that in Germany or several European and Asian countries.
