A SPLINTER Catholic Church called the Catholic Apostolic National Church of Zambia has been launched with Archbishop-elect, Luciano Mbewe, calling for more priests to join the church and fulfill their God-given role by marrying.

This is great! What courage they have in Africa! This will certainly get the attention of Rome. I hope it spreads to the rest of the church especially here in the USA where there are very few with the courage to lead this charge and change the Catholic Church. I believe celibacy is the root cause of MANY evils in the Catholic church. Chop off the serpent's head and the church will be much better off. So will those abused throughout history by a celibate clergy. Abuse of men, women, boys and girls.

GO AFRICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 'Archbishop' elect clearly needs a lesson in Church history (as well as in sound ecclesiology): NO BISHOPS WHATSOEVER broke away from the Pope after the decree of Papal Infallibility during Vatican I. Certain priests certainly did, that is a documented fact, and their names are recorded. Another recorded fact is the identity of some of the bishops who opposed the Definition in 1870, but none of those bishops proceeded to schism from the See of Peter. This assertion is borne out by subsequent events whereby the priests of the new movement had to seek episopal orders outwith the communion of the Catholic Church from a Jansenist bishop - again a documented fact with names and dates all available.
These names and dates are given at the following link: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11235b.htm
Ubi Petrus, ibi ecclesia.
