The National police imposed new measures to ensure that the festivities of the New Year will not be marred by violence. These measures include prohibiting movement of motorcycles after 20:00. Shooting in the air as sign of hailing the New Year is also banned and the police will be deployed in different localities to ensure security. During this period, no police man is allowed to go on leave.
