This pertinent article is quite on point with the reality of what is happening in the current political landscape. The US cannot keep on playing God around the world. We know that religion is used to intimidate others, propagate intolerance, and start wars in the name of God; likewise, the US is using its stature as the "superpower" (which is arguable these days) to spread chaos through its unfair decisions/actions in the name of its place as the world leader. Setting so many precedents of violations of international law & disregard of international procedures will ultimately result in destabilizing political structures worldwide. What happens when Libya decides to invade Chad because of terrorist activities there? What if Corsica auto-proclaims independence from France tomorrow? What will the world say if these entities defend their positions on the basis of precedence set by the US? I think if one must play the police of the world, one must be more responsible in its action and careful to act in all fairness.
