The Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (FEC) said it aims to put in place what is called the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) in an effort to stamp out prevailing corruption in the country.

Really the new idea OF BPR IS AN INTERESTING APPROACH FOR THIS POOR COUNTRY FOR THOSE POOR MENTALITY WHO WERE ALWAYS CREATING TROUBLE AND PULLING HERBACK BECAUSE CLAIMING 3000 YEARS OF LEGENDARY HISTORY WITH OUT WORKING CULTURE. EVEN THEY DEMOLISHED.
It is a pity tht the Ethiopian govt is trying to put an end to corruption in all those State owned corporations like Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopian Telephone Company when in realty what it has to do is sell them to the Ethiopian public and let the shareholders set up ways to deal with it. It is a 'long shot' to assume tht a corporate official whose salary is, at most, a couple of thousand birrs, while very much handling multi million dollar contracts, won't be tempted to take bribe( kick backs or whteve). So long as Ethiopia doesn't allow private and public enterprise to flourish the Addis mobs won't stop at milking the system. No matter what the good will of the Honorable PM Zenawi and most of his collegues, he has yet to demolish the ex Dergist establishments be it in the Urban Housing or countless other 'Nationalised establishments'. 'The Fifth Columnists' who are well entrenched in the bureacracy and so called 'public enterprisesL are the final 'bottleneck' who are impeding the good governance, for which Ethiopia's Govt is given credit for, by interested 'development partners' the World over. 'Sleeping with the Enemy' is what I charchterise the nature of relationship between the extra ordinalilly gifted Zenawi and those within the massive Govt owned enterpsies. When will Mr Zenawi wake up and smell the stink of the gutter?
