the police who insisted that the man who got shot was a mere film now insists on prosecuting only the kalenjin leaving any Kikuyu mayhem organizers scot free. the police should not be converted into a militia... this matter has to be looked at seriously especially because the greviances presented by the protestors were legitimate. It is a shame to have a force that is not impartial.

Praise to Allah for the truce, for the new peace, now the parliament should also show patriotism and not sectoral selfishness. Women should wear a veil (symbolicaly..be humble)and talk respectfully because we receive respect from all decent and honourable men.

i am happy peace is coming back to us again. however my friend i don't think your idea of women wearing a veil is a well thought one. what does peace have to do with what women wear? if controlling what women wear is your definition of peace then i'm sorry you will never attain peace.

Sir, I don't think you should impose all women wearing a veil. Number one, not all believe as you do. I agree with the gentleman who replied to you. If peace is hinging on women wearing a veil, you will not see it. Peace is about people learning to live together in harmony whether or not they agree on various issues.

As all Kenyans breath a sigh of relief at last with the historical break-through reached between Kibaki and Odinga, a new chapter is opened - seeing the end of bloodshed, anarchy and fear. Kofi Annan's efforts ,ever-since the post elections turmoil need to be saluted at the African and international level . The last ditch talks that have seen success in the negotiations ,with the rush of Tanzanian charismatic President Kikwete to Nairobi - adding the Tanzanian weight on the Kenyan issues - is more than a brotherly manifestation of good neighbourliness deserved to be hailed and applauded .It's the dedicated efforts of Kikwete and Mkapa that have propelled the meetings to success. The Kikwete's last meeting with the rival leaders is a god sent message - no one knows the ins-and outs of of it - we are eager to know kikwete's magic words that convinced Kibaki to accept a deal. God bless Africa.

Bravo to Hon.Koffi Annan for giving us abig smile on our face.It was indeed a big step ahead after along time of termoil and mistrust amongst kenyans. We cannot also forget to thank our great friend and neighbour the president of the republic of Tanzania Hon. Jakaya Murisho Kikwete for spending your humble time to give us apeace of advice and support, thanks alot to you all. However, to my fellow kenyans, as we celebrate the return of peace to kenya, lets not forget that, what we really voted for still remains a mistry to be ANSWERED in our entire lifes, yes we can forgive but it has come to be known that there are 'PEOPLE'who will never be trusted. LET US FORGIVE BUT NEVER FORGET SINCE THIS IS NOT THE END OF VOTING IN KENYA. THANKS ONCE MORE TO OUR MEDIATORS.

we appritiate and commend Dr. Kofi Annan, Excelency Jakaya Murisho Kikwete and the other members of the pannel of African Eminent persons for the excelent work they have done in bringing the rival parties together. We as the members of the public will therefore insisist and persist that the agreement be honoured by both parties.I also congratulate the incoming prime minister, His Excelency Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga (Agwambo Tinga) for accepting the deal for the sake of Kenyans, as we know that the presidency was stolen from him and you dont share a stolen property with the thief that stole it.This act of statesmanship must be applauded.Any attept by the president and his unworthy men (and women), who Kivuitu says God should have not brought to this world,to thwart the agreement will be met with the stongest oposition he has never met in his life. That Martha Karua (dhako ma wang'e onyiedhore oko ka wang' jajuok) did not attend the friday mediation talks do not come to me as a surprise.she was a hardliner who has surely been ambarased by Kibaki's statesmanship. If Kiraitu nolonger participates in active politics, what about her. Annan should be awarded a horonary degree for his work.

Whatever. By offering these usual sub-standard solutions Sub-Saharan Africa is as usual rewarding POLITICAL CRIMINALITY. History has recorded that Kibaki is an illegimate President who stole an election from Oginga. This "solution" is unacceptable. How is Kibaki going to govern without a majority in Parliament ? The others should keep fire under his feet and get his lame duck old a** out of there as soon as possible. And didn't the UN Kofi Anan walked out of Rwanda in the midst of the 1994 genocide ? This is telling.
