TOo be a doctor is to become a professional and in a profession there is no patriotism in it. We have very wonderfull and competitive doctors in Africa but as long as we dont pay them they will always move abroad as they will not eat stones and we expect them to continue working under the paltry conditions we put them in.
The bottom line is professionals want to live in the same houses ministers and presidents are living, drive the same cars, send their kids to the same schools, our wives to deliver in the same hospitals, eat the same food and wear the same clothes. If they send their wives to dilver in hospitals europe and america, send their kids to schools in europe and america then who will stay and work in hospitals in africa and send theirs to schools in africa.
