The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) walked away with the crown on Saturday, after its candidate Nunu Lekau won Marulamantsi ward with 194 votes. Ex-DCEC investigator Diphetogo Maswabi of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) was second with 163 votes while Gibson Kgosiemang of the Botswana National Front (BNF) was third with 79. There were no spoilt votes.
