and i am very very worried about how much China and Gaddaffi are doing in
Africa as a whole but more importantly Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is such a
beautiful country that has soooooooo much going for it why are we letting
others come in promise us the stars and strip us of all that is important
to us.
They offer us as you say MAD COW DISEASE and BIRD FLU and we give them
diamonds, Lumley Beach and anything else that they want but would be needed
by the people of Sierra Leone to function as a prosperous country with care
and time.
People of Sierra Leone don't look a gift horse in the mouth by all means,
however look at what is being taken in return stop and ask your leaders
what do we do when they take it away. Do we end up asking for "AID" because
it is not ours anymore. Dont be like Ghana whose rice farmers can't sell
their own rice in their own country because some government official sold
his soul to America and now the rice farmers struggle. Or those that can't
sell their native chickens at the market competively because Europe/Canada
can sell theirs cheaply.
You democratically appointed a president that is not the end of it,
continue to be vocal peacefully to make sure that they are working for the
good of sierra leone and its citizens for the better. We want to see siera
leone competing economically with the rest of world because we know we can.
Sierra Leone can and all those "international" countries know it why else
are they there? Otherwise they would be in Dafur!
