What's in the name, you may ask, of a school, a person or anything at all? So much, if you believe my father, who, when I was growing up in the 1980s and pop stars were popping up all over, would dissuade me from being called Michael Jackson or anything along those lines.
My Dear Friend, I will first of all thank you for your well written story about OBBA and MOBA you wrote perfectly well. But my only problem here is that which instrument did you use to measure the division between OBBA and MOBA? Here I found it difficult to believe and accept your well prepared story. After all I attended Boys Sec. School magburaka both forms 1 and 2. During that time there were many students coming from Kono, Kenema, Bo Port Loko, Kambia and of course Makeni to attend Boys School as it was popularly . It was not only meant for the Northerners and that is why today if you go in any of the offices you must find either an OBBA or MOBA so i think there is no iota of truth in your speculation.

Well my friend, Bo School is not APC or SLPP or PMDC OR MENDE OR TEMNE. IT JUST HAPPENDE TO BE LOCATED IN BO BECAUSE ALL THE NORTHERN CHIEFS SELESTED BO. MENDE CHIEFS DID NOT WANT IT IN BO.
Bo School is the only school in all of West Africa that knows no tribe, religion or where students come from.
That is why I am an OBBA member (2205) with school mates from Kamakuwie Sila limba, Kono, Makeni, Magboroka, Kabala, Pujehun, Kailahun, Freetown, Port Loko, Kambia, Mile 91, Sulima, Liberia, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria and even Lebanon (class mate Fahkie)and many others attended Bo School.
We are for Sierra Leone first, Bo School second, family third and tribe is not important. SOME OBBA MEMBERS MAY HAVE FAILED TO TO LIVE UP TO THAT PRINCIPLE. ASK ANY BO SCHOOL BOY AND THEY WILL EXPLAIN WHAT THAT MEANS. OBBA FOR SIERRA LEONE FOR EVER, REGARDLESS OF PARTY OR TRIBE.
OH BY THE WAY, I AM KONO-MENDE FROM THE EAST AND THE SOUTH-(FAMILY ORIGIATING FROM GBANIKANDOR CHIEFDOM-KONO, 800 YEARS AGO AS WORRIORS MOVING WEST AND SOUTH) AND PART OF THE WORRIORS (LIKE THE MARGAI FAMILY ALSO KONO-MENDE) SETTLED IN THE SOUTH. MY COUSIN PAUL MANGA IS NOW PARAMOUNT CHIEF OF GBANIKANDOR CHIEFDOM-KONO .
