This is why I think Pan Africanism is a joke. Instead of advocating for political freedoms and fair and equitable competition for all, you are advocating for other Africans to work for slave wages ? First of all if Pan Africanists are serious they should be tackling the immediate problems of Darfur, Somalia, the DR. Congo, Northern Uganda, and the list goes on and on endlessly. This old tired rhetoric of Pan Africanism serves only to perpetuate the illegimate regimes of personality cult leaders, so called 'revolutionaries' that stay in power for ever; to empty their countries coffers. Worse still some carry with them tribal, racial or religious undertones.

Mugabe's Zimbabwe, Museveni's Uganda, Kagame's Rwanda, Dos Santos Angola, and Mujoma's Nambia went to the Democratic Republic of Congo about 10 years ago and what do they have to show for it ? One, a near armed shootout between their armies. Two, looting, rape of women and plunder of the Congolese resources. Criminal sentences levied by the international criminal courts against the marauding armies; some fines running in billions of dollars. And thirdly worse, a genocide of 3 to 4 million dead and counting. It is the most unspoken human tragedy in modern history. They left DR. Congo worse than they entered as a coalition. Imagine NATO doing that to a Eurpean countrty ?

These are supposed to be Africa's best of the best "revolutionaries". What went wrong ? The problem is simple. Most of these socalled leaders are not equal to the task of governing and moving Africa forward. Organizing a bush guerrilla does not a leader make; revolutionary or not. Africa needs states mens and women not just mere guerrilla fighters. Nyerere did it; Mandela did; why can't others emulated them ? The Mugabes of Africa are for ever stuck in the querrila modus operandi. They are incapable of evolving into true democratic statesmen and women.

There are immigrant Eastern Europeans and Asians washing dishes in western countries. Africans wouldn't be the first or the last to do it. These have always been the story lines of immigrants world over nobody hands to them anything for free neither should anybody expect free lunches because nothing is owed to them. If Africa were governed better with true states men and women with fair and uncorrupt policies Africans needn't migrate to work for slave wages. But washing dishes sure beats getting persecuted and killed on masse or watching your family being brutalized in Darfur, Somalia, or the mineral rich DR. of Congo, all by and infront of your fellow African armies and militia run by power hungry 'revolutionaries.' Pan Africanism without real results sounds as hollow as listening to drums on a famished and sick stomach. In the end it should be about fair competition for political space and office, and power, and jobs and justice. Africa needs democracy like all citizens of the world do.

Funny the African revolutionaries love the western dollars, goods, services and lifestyle but they hate western democracy ? It is good to do business with the west; to hell with western democracy ? Huh ?

Because the Southern Mediterranean region, North Africa, is not for sub-saharan Africans and as a North African, I do NOT ACCEPT NOR WILL I EVER ACCEPT AN AFRICAN UNION THAT WAS DRAWN BY CORRUPT DICTATORS. North Africa is Arab, white and it will NEVER get involved with Sub-saharan black Africa. We will not only deport Blacks from the region but we will attack and use force to secure our borders and identity. North Africa is more than twice as large as Europe and needs to look to a North African union. Black people are not part of our Mediterranean World, save as slaves, and we will NEVER ACCEPT BLACKS, WHO ARE AN ALIEN PEOPLE! Black people need to embrace their negritude and unite as a black people, but they need to stop DREAMING ABOUT SOMEHOW BECOMING PART OF A WHITE CIVILIZATION WHICH ENSLAVED THEIR ANCESTORS AND TREATED THEM AS ANIMALS.

They should instead focus on more realistic goals, such as a union among BLACKS.

Listen: This is not the Africa or the world Africans should be thinking of building or being part of. Africans are inclusive. Black; green; yellow; white; whatever your color. And indeed where peaceful conditions exist there are all races living and working in many parts of Africa. After all whether you like it or not we are all Africans; so there is no need to be discriminatory. It is a waste of time and energy. Africans should stand for justice everywhere that includes within Africa itself; not colors; that is so backward; and quite frankly ignorant and stupid.
