Why have we all refused to tell ourselves the truth? typical Nigerians we are indeed. the increase in price of a single sachet of pure water in nigeria is not completely because of the increase in production materials, its is also not because the producers of this patriotic commodity have all of a sudden gotten greedy. the real reason for this fat round 10naira is the fact that the coin is valueless to we nigerians. of a truth, the cost of production of materials to produce pure water has increased greatly, but according to calculated statistics, pure water can still be sold at a maximum of 7naira,IF ONLY THE COIN WERE VALUABLE TO US.that is why the retailers figuerd the price to a round number 10 to avoid people owing them and vice-versa.cerain interviews have caught the retailers saying that they are making much more gain than they used to when the price was 5naira.this problem is applicable to other commodities such as the 5naira sweet, biscuits, buble gums among others. if we truly want to solve this problem of increase,we will start learning to apreciate the coin,so that instead of the round figuers we are used to which always come in notes, increase in certain commodities will be in points. I tell you fellow nigerians, this is just the beginning of paying through our noses for things worth much lesser than we are made to pay unless we begin to apreciate the nigerian KOBO...
