This article assumes Africa does not know what to get from India and that somebody who is associated with the UK should be advising African nations. Far be it from truth, Africa does understand and know what they need. Africa has been evaluating it's relationships with other significant economic powers around the globe. I don't know why the western world feel that they should "referee" what Africa should get from the other powers like China and India. The article also under scores the uneasness that people of British descend feel about Africa's globe trotting away from UK. There has been many attempts to link Africa exclusively to the western world, especially by people associated with the UK. My advice to African leaders is to continue pursuing meaningful relationship with the far east without consulting westerners or their descendants in Africa. Africa can now obtain better pricing for it's agriculture products and mining products. This is really the threat to western interests. Go..Africa move on to other heights.

africa and india has historic relationship with india since the days of struggle in south africa. the long association with western countries and other powers have shown that african situation has deteriorated. The food crisis , political crisis, social crisis only worsened with time. No nation has tried ever to solve these problems. They only provided food to the hungry nations and exploited as they wanted and the african nations failed to solve their long pending problems. Time had came, they should search for a true friend. yes., india may not provide immediate help financial aid as the chinese, but definitely india is the only country in the world who is the true friend. It can help them in redifining democracy, health sector, education, social stability and much needed economic development as india is the fastest growing market in the world. so the time has came, these nations should take advantage of the situation as much and as early as possible so that they should not loose a true friend.
