Mr. Alan Doss, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in the DRC, met the humanitarians and NGOs working in the province of North Kivu on 4 April 2008, where he explored with them the possibilities for their involvement in the implementation of the Amani programme, the mixed technical commission on peace and security in the Kivu provinces.
