when we talk of a price increase, we are refering to an increase in the prices of commodities in the market as a result of an increase in fuel prices. yes the increase in fuel prices is a good cause for an increse in prices but it is not the only thing especially in the cameroonian case. the increase in taxes to business men should also be considered as a cause becuase it dicourages investment alot. for how can people go into business if at the end of the day they canot make some profit. for there is no buasiness that one carries without profit. moroso is the fact that there is no incentives to people in the country. the government of cameroon like other countries should try and creat openings for the peolpe and not just stit and take laws that will be of no help to the society at large. as a measure that i will propose to this problem at hand, the first will be the reduction of taxes not only on imported goods but also on domestic goods. secondly, the governement should pass laws which authorise the grant of compulsory licence to peolpe who have the means to produce as well as giving assisitance or seeking assistance for the production of goods in the copuntry. by this method, production will be diversified thus leading to increase production and hence variety wherein in times of crisis like this, less complaints will be tabled. thirdly, the govenment of cameroon should compe up with a favourable competition act/law like the case of south africa though there is no competition in the country,.By this method, competition will be the case and hence variety. finally, the polices in the country needs to be changed for better cameroon. thanks
