The South African workers refusal to offload that ship just stresses how much influence the west has on that country. Zimbabwe, just like any country on earth, has the right to purchase or produce conentional weapons. No one stopped or stops the daily shipments of weapons destined to kill innocent folks in Iraq. Turnex, the story about the Zimbabwean farmers now settled in Nigeria is one which has not been fully told. White Zimbabwean farmers have had a hard time adjusting to Nigeria and they largely live on UK and Nigerian Subsides to succeed in farming. That is exactly what Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique refused to do for Zimbabwean white farmers. They did not see a reason to subsidize Zimbabwean farmers, while not doing the same for their own people! UK is the biggest subsidy of white Zimbabwean farmers. If the UK had done the same to Black Zimbabwean farmers, they too could have succeeded. Land reform with Zimbabwean white farmers never went anyway! Just endless talking!!! The white Zimbabwean farmers in Mozambique and Malawi have had a terrible experince and many long to go back to Zimbabwe. Why do you call Chinese investment in Africa colonialism? You also ignore just how expensive it is for Africans to do business or get loans from the western world. In addition, the West want to control you when you want to get anything from them. CHINESE should be allowed to trade in africa... even in arms because western countries have been doing this for ages. Yes, the future of Zimbabwe and the entire Southern Africa is China, because China now is the biggest lender in the world. USA companies are borrowing money from China. Botswana, the DRC, Angola are all building power plants with loans from China!! UK is no longer the biggest lender for Africa nor is it the biggest trading partner of SADC countries. The trade between China and Africa is now more than with UK. I know it will take time to love these "Yellow" people, but at least do not be ignorant of the facts. Piri, first of all ,I do not think your friends the Chinese will be very tickled that you address them as 'those yellow people' If you want those loans to flow perhaps you should rather refer to their race as Asians. Besides dishing out loans to African nations, what else are they giving? They are dumping all the rubbish low quality goods that the Western countries reject.All the millions of dollars' worth of LEAD TAINTED merchandise including baby toys that are unacceptable to the West because of the poisonous dangers they pose to humans - guess where the Chinese are dumping them - Africa.
