Zimbabwe's opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, beat President Robert Mugabe in the country's March election, but not by a big enough margin to avoid a run-off, government sources have claimed in leaks to Western news agencies.
I will not be surprised if the western junk starts to say “we have won again”, “we told you so” yet the calm electorate here at home is sure of what they voted for. Tsvangirai has also talked of the possibility to work together with zanu pf. Ambassador Chidyausiku is confirming government position about GNU. There are people in both ZANU PF and MDC who are real losers who have been using partician politics to benefit their self aggrandizement. NO ONE, not a single Zimbabwean will be beaten or killed by extremists from either party if dialogue for the future of the country is engaged. Not one soul will be forced to die of hunger for there won’t be any reason for sanctions. Zimbabweans would have conquered again like they did in the 1986 unity pact, today we enjoy that unity and we have progressed thanks to the visionaries then. It is time to appreciate the west’s negatives piled to Africa during electioneering and on regime change agendas. It is therefore time to map a way forward without delay where everyone’s concerns are appreciated. The electorate do not want hunger inflicted to them by the west – Tsvangirai has the key; we want land – Mugabe has the key, the population does not need corrupt politicians so let it be everyone’s duty to come out with a clean cabinet. I certainly know that this long period before announcing presidential results, the die hard characters in both parties have been made to understand that we have only ONE country that belongs to ALL of us.
