Any intelligent person that have been following President Obasanjo,s action would not find it difficult to conclude, as pointed out by President Yar'Adua, that probing President Obasanjo would amount to a complete waste of time because, without any doubt, he has not embezzled a single Kobo from the state while he was in office. While a probe by President Yar'Adua could have served on the one hand to allow President Obasanjo to demonstrate to the world he has seved the country as a clean, disciplined and probably the most patriotic leader the country ever had, it could, on the other hand, have made it absolutely impossible for President Yar'Adua to resist probing other former administrations including that of Gen. Abacha, Gen. Babangida, Gen Buhari and President Shehu Shagari. The probes of these administrations would have brought out that very truth about the main problem of the country, ETHNIC INTOLERANCE. CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA which is the worst in the world, is just a concomitance or side effect of ETHNIC INTOLERANCE OR TRIBALISM that has soaked the polity. 48 years of really either being ignorant of it or ignoring it has made the life of some of the citizens to regress some centuries backward. hello, I totally agree with President Yar,adua. I advise Nigerians to read Ex President,s Presentation, on the power project. That man called OBJ is a straight man. Every piece of his write up/presentation, is very reasonable and to my mind, true. For all contracts are backed up with Local and foreign Guaranties. I advise the probe panel, to call these guaranties, if there is non perfomance. The panel should stop wasting our time and money. President Yar,Adua is advised to urgently pursue the NIPPs contracts and ensure no delay and additional costs are incurred. Just give the people light and proceed with governance. I am an Ibo man. I don,t like OBJ, but the truth shall set us free. I am convinced OBJ did the right thing. Let us continue where he stopped. At the end of the tunnel, we shall see the light. Check on all stand by L/Cs, Bank Guaranties, local and foreign companies, CBN, NIPPs files, and we shall get the monies outstanding and push this project fwd. We wish Nigeria light, very soon. probing ex-leaders after they leave power only supposes that there were unbearable suspicion against them when they were serving,tested and proven, no nigerian leader is clean and clear to the toes, as a matter of fact, no human... the today number one person Yar Adua, if of the opinion that probing immediate past president is a waste of time & energy MUST definately be saying this not on a premise that OBJ is without blemish but that "no leader is clean" there exist hundreds of thousands to prove this, among the lot is issues of what leaders think right and what masses(civil society) think needed at any given time, another one is the adherance to the tenets of constitution and ratification of decisions..... and the likes we all understand!, but OGA Y' Adua, do your own very best & leave the rest.
