MOST large global companies believe governments will rely more on indirect tax, such as VAT or general sales tax, in the future, according to a study released by KPMG yesterday.

I remember in 1992+- a billboard with an ANC.message on it saying something like this, VAT is evil and must be removed! My, how times have changed,it would seem a spill off from the apartheid era is keeping the government and its ideologies afloat.
