Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force on Sunday, pulled down The Nation's Newspapers signboard along Edinburgh road, Enugu, claiming it has links with the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).
IF INDEED,WE HAVE RESPECT FOR THE RULE OF LAW WHICH IS ENSHRINED IN OUR CONSTITUTION,THERE WILL BE NO REASON FOR THE POLICE TO ATTACK PEOPLE WHO ARE PEACEFUL IN THEIR OPERATIONS. THE MASSOB HAS NOT BEEN VIOLENT IN THEIR DEMONSTRATIONS.THERE IS NO REASON POLICE SHOULD NOT ALLOW PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY.
