Sometimes older folks lose their inhibitions and do things that seem and often are rather strange. Mr. Milingo has broken away from the Church to try to reach an ideal that can't be reached by rebellion. I admire his idealism but abhor his attacks upon the Church.

Why are you calling Milingo an archbishop in the article. He is not anything other than Mr. Milingo now. He has wilfully separated himself from the church. The excommunication was just a formality indicating that the church recognizes that this man is no longer Catholic. Pray for his conversion.
