Zimbabweans seeking greener pastures in neighbouring Zambia - and an escape from the election violence wracking the country - are becoming increasingly concerned at the rising levels of contempt directed against them.

The pro-mugabe Zimbabeans are busy insulting every Zambians when there is no Zambian isulting them. Look at their Hearad Newspaper! I do know Zambians want Zimbabeans to live happily in their country but it appears, there are Zimbabweans who are happy with the status quo. Just UNITE please, you Zimbabweans, Tvangirai will not reposes the "Lend" you have been given so far.
I agree with Zambie, Zimbabweans need to tone down the rhetoric against President Mwanawasa. Herald and Patrick Chinamasa are clearly out of order on Zambians. Zambians paid a huge price supporting the liberation of Zimbabwe and they do not need this “noise” from the Herald and President Mugabe. Most of us have relatives in Zambia. Some of my relatives are married to Zambians. Zambians are one of the most friendly people in SADC region. Zimbabwean leaders are good at blaming everybody, but themselves. Mugabe blasts President Mwanawasa and Tsvangirai, at every opportunity blasts President Mbeki, as if he is the sole source of the problems in Zimbabwe.

Wow, it is so refreshing to read good sense coming from Phiri. So I was right previously, that 'Phiri' must be connected to Zambia or Malawi. Intermarriages are a good thing because they bring peace between peoples.

Zambians know that Mugabe's military asernal obtained from China and Korea is huge. It is itching to get used. Hence Chinamasa's and Mugabe's theatrics. They both see Zambia as a weak spot, plenty of excuses to attack Zambia. They see MDC wedging a gorrilla warfare from bases in Zambia. Mugabe feels very strongly that with his military hardware Zambia is a walkover. One of the speakers on this forum said it clearly that Zimbabwe will not allow the MDC's-Savimbi's of this world to be based in Zambia. Clearly meaning Zimbabwe will literary walk into Zambia and thrush out the MDC! I want to remind Zimbabweans, that Ian Douglas Smith, Pieter Botha, Jan Smuts, Verwoed Foster to name but a few, decades ago said exactly the same words Mugabe is using; "MDC will never rule Zimbabwe!" Replace the initials "MDC" by "Blacks" and you have an exact statement from the apartheid racists. And with that Agenda, Zambia was harassed, terrorised, harangued, bullied and kicked on the backside like a child. How do Zambians fancy re-living the ordeal? This time from a fellow black! Southern Africa is steeped in War! I can see it coming! Zambian Generals should keep sleeping and thef**ckin* flipping a**es will be slit into pieces! For those who care to read the writing on the wall please look! Same negligency and recklessness allowed Hitler to do what he did. Zambia must prepare for War!!!!!!!
Pshanyide, Zimbabwe is not interested in invading Zambia. You and most Zambians fear Mugabe, like crazy! A good 30% of Zimbabweans have relatives in Zambia...I mean uncles, grandmothers, aunties you name it. My grandfather, father were all born in Zimbabwe, but even I have uncles, cousins in Zambia. It would BE very stupid to invade Zambia. I'm sure that Zambians are having the last laughter, given Zimbabwean situation.
I hate the tone of Zimbabwean politicians and the "Times of Zambia" on the current feud with Robert Mugabe (not the people of Zimbabwe). President Mwanawasa's comments should be welcomeD..since they are coming from a "brother" and he means well. However, Mwanawasa should be shrewd in dealing with mugabe. He should know by now that Zimbabwe is in a "war" of words with UK. What President Mwanawasa says privately should not be linked to the British Press. Zimbabwe is clearly at war with the UK because of land issues and also a sense that "anglodomism" is being destroyed in the middle of Southern Africa. ALSO THERE ARE MANY, MANY, ZAMBIANS LIVING IN ZIMBABWE.
Pshanyinde, you are right in not letting your guard down because Mugabe is a mad man. Even Phiri admits that "You and most Zambians fear Mugabe like crazy!" and says it in a disgusting tone that seems to please him. You fear something or someone that will bring great harm to you. President Levy Mwanawasa of Zambia was the only one with guts to stand up to Mugabe, the rest of them were wimps, Mbeki included. If Mugabe thinks for one moment that Zambia is in support of MDC, Mugabe will trump up all sorts of excuses to invade Zambia and those Zambians living in Zimbabwe will be the first to be executed. Do you think Mugabe will care about peoples' relatives when he is thirsting for blood? YOU Phiri feel you know him better than most. If for any reason President Mwanawasa feels his country is being threatened by Mugabe, he should make it known to the whole world instead of whispering it to his neighbours as Phiri suggests. Why should he sneak and not let the British or any other press know? Lastly a war of words never killed anyone or you Phiri, would have died a long time ago because your words are just stupid and empty and shallow with no power. Just no arsenal.
Krsj120, you are a typical white Rhodesians that Zambia had to defend themselves against. Today you support Mwanawasa, tomorrow he says something you disagree, you will start crticising him. To day you sing ones praise, tomorrow you sing his condenmination. That kind of behaviour is pravelent among anglos and no wonder you are not useful to the SADC region. You like to divide people rather than bring people together. Divide and rule or install puppets is your motor. Zambians, Zimbabweans, and Malawians are proud to make connections with their relatives in different SADC countries. You are just an anglo white spoiler, and your evilness come thru your response.
Besides being a faceless one and ever insulting His Excellecy, the President of Great Zimbabwe, Sir Robert Gabriel Mugabe, whhat are achieving that is positive and constructive? Lev Mwanawasa must keep to himself the helpless comments unless he is just playing to the gallery and pleasing the establishment in the UK, Australia, USA and New Zealand. Mwanawasa has never heard Our president telling him what to do. Mwanawasa is MEDDLING and INTERFERING. What does he hope to achieve with all the theatricals? Once again I should remind him that we, Zimbabweans, will NEVER allow Zambia to facilitate the creation of a Savimbi or a Tshombe in Great Zim. Mind you, the dissident problems in Western Zimbabwe which were eventually stopped, unfortunately but out of necesity, by the Fifth brigade, were a direct result of the bipartisan approach to Zimbabwe nationalities by Zambia. Zambia liked and preferred ZAPU. I should know because I was and have always been a ZAPU man. But l LOVE Zimbabwe and respect the leadership of my country, Great Zim. Angola is now full of mines because Zambia allowed Savimbi to initiate operations from its soil. I clearly remember the speech given on the matter by his then president of Zambia, HIs Excellency, the Honorable Kenneth Kaunda. Zambians and Zimbabweans have a lot in common, much more in common than is liked by our common enemies. GOD BLESS THE QUEEN.
Akapfunde, you state how much you love Zimbabwe. Do you? What is Zimbabwe without ALL its people? Take a look at the Zimbabwe that is having its arms and legs chopped off, the Zimbabwe that has fled to south Africa, the Zimbabwe whose 20,000 and counting parts suffered Gukurahundi. Are these not the sufferings of your father under the white murders but now under black murderers? You are elated that all these crimes against humanity are being perpetrated by Mugabe but suppose Mugabe was a white man doing exactly the same as he is doing now - abducting, torturing and killing - (by the way he is doing exactly what the racist pigs did before him) What would you be saying then? Still elated? You say president Mwanawasa of Zambia is "meddling" and "interfering", is he not part of SADC that should be finding a solution to Zimbabwe's crisis? Are we then to say that SADC is just a Mugabe support system - a say yes to Mugabe or shut up system? Already there are many Zimbabweans fleeing to Zambia and Mwanawasa is bracing his country for thousands more. Zimbabweans are now going to experience the horrors of refugee status at the hands of Mugabe and suffer further much like the Somali refugees who continue to flee to Kenya's Dadaab refugee camp where over 200,000 people are packed into a 20 square mile of a hot desolate and arid land. All this because people support barbarians such as Mugabe.
Clearly you are not a Zambian and if do live in Zambia you are one of these ALPs (air lift Persons), namely one of those that are sure to be airlifted by western gvts to safety in the event of your wish materialising. WAR WAR WAR your likes shout because you would love to see towns in Zimbabwe and Zambia look like those in Iraq, to see dams blasted and the infra-structure reducad to rumble. Who gains from this, of course, the west. It sells the ARMS, its companies get engaged in the rebuilding and will control the new gvts. No Zambian or Zimbabwean thinks about such a thing only foreigners like you think that way. Let the new nation of ZAMBEZIA germinate and grow out of Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Anola and Zimbabwe
"Cannot be tolerate" . . . What do you mean? You seem to imply the possibility of a punishment for Great Zim metered out by Zambia. May l remind you that there are literally thousands of Zambians and even more Malawians living in Zimbabwe. Thats a FACT. Amen. Zimbabwe,s first government had South Africans in the cabinet eg Mrs Chitepo and Mrs Chinamano etc etc not to mention the numerous Malawins and Zambians holding posts in government posts and elsewherein the country. Masvingo even had a Phiri as a mayor. NEVER AGAIN!! Believe it or not the abuse Zimbabweans are receiving is a good thing for the psyche of Zims....like a Re-education camp. Now they know that HOME IS BEST. I do not want to think what is going to become of the 1000s Malawians, Zambians, Tswanas and others currently living in Great Zim. Indeed we do have our own Makwerekwere or Mambwidi or Manyasarande too. Let me remind the forgetful brothers and sisters that we in Zimbabwe wont allow a SAVIMBI or TSHOMBE to be set up by Zambia. We are too smsrt for that. Mind you more MOzambiquans wer slaughted in the RACIST attacks on Afrikans in South Afrika These attacks were nothing else but racist.
