In the United States they classifed Mexicans as White. Too bad the Exiles during Aparthed didn't ask the Russians to Invade before the 1990's of course South Africa would had been Zimbabwe of Today if that ever happened.

There is no way they faced the same level of oppression as the native blacks and the only reason they now want to be classed as blacks is for the money. The gov. is failing the native blacks. Now I can imagine that the Chineese and the Indians are gonna be the ones to benefit most from these social iniatives.

The government need to rephrased it from "black" to natives. Thus eliminate the hangers-on. I hope and pray that Zuma does a better job at defending the still volnerable black natives. After all it's because of this demographic why he is where he is.

The more you divide people according to superficial differences, the longer you perpetuate the consciousness of this artificiality. India went along caste and linguistic differences and 60 years after independence, we are facing more issues of discrimination than before. People are now clamouring to be classified as backward and disadvantaged. And two-bit politicians are finding more and more minor differences of caste, tribe, sub-caste, sub-tribe to gain some visibility for themselves.

Continue what is being done and South Africa faces the same fate. Set a time for all these quota systems to be dismantled and ensure that the REALLY disadvantaged get the foundation they need to make it. After that foundation, they should be on their own.

Now we can also import Humans BUT why import other nations problems to the detriment of your own people? Take the mass Indian population in East and Southern Africa because of lax immigration laws. As if that is not enough, Uganda president has imported 20000+ Chinese and given them land (native African land) in which to settle. The President gives away gov. land to Hindu Madvani to grow Sugar cane - which does not feed hunger. The African robbed of his land will now be forced to work for peanuts to feed himself with nothing to leave for inheritence for his children. (Need I say a future Zimbabwe in the making?). Why not educate your nationals to farm better instead of importing future problems.By the way there are indeginous BLACKS in Asia (Cambodia, Viet Nam, Phillippine, Sothern India etc ) who are segregated, unacknowledged and discriminated against. Why allow these non africans people in your borders?

This is an absolute no brainer! Chinese classied as "black" in SA ? Nah some body's drinks must have been spiked here!. Chinese will never see them selves as black they will attack you in the street especially in UK, USAor China if you call them black, they are any thing but black some one is trying to pull a wool over the faces of real black South Africans here.

I am a Nigerian living in the UK for over two decades and I have heard and seen the recent predujice and discrimination of indegenous black south africans against the fellow a africans from other african nations which is regretable but but now the chinese get a honourary titles as been "Black" what the hell is going on in SA? Now If a black sth African is born and raised in China would they be classified or accepted as Chinese? The Answer = HELL NO.

Black south africans can freely go out and kill other black people from other African countries but can now compete with new black people called Chinese or Indians. I think a new liberation struggle is needed now. It is a shame and an insult!

The sad thing is that I grew up in South Africa and so did three generations b4 me and Indians will never be on the same level as black people .WTF these people are what 2% of the indian population! Life is not fair and we all have to make our place were we want to .My main reason why I now moved OVERSEAS.

This is an insult to the integrity of the black people on SouthAfrica. This court ruling has opened a can of worms whereby every small group from all corners of the world will claim they were also marginalised during appartheid and demand to be classified as blacks. Chinese are not balck. They are oopoturnists. They were never involved in the struggle of this country. Our government has to do something about this or otherwise they are brewing hate amonst its citizens and more xenophibic attaches should be expected if matters like these are let through.
