Morgan Tsvangirai, the man aspiring to lead a nation of 13 million enlightened Zimbabweans is at it again, grandstanding for a foreign audience while pretending to be doing it for the benefit of the people.

I have to laugh as well - this editorial is so biased (and obviously controlled by Mugabe's bunch) all I can do is shake my head that someone actually agreed to write this drivel.
Totally laughable!!! Are you serious or did someone hold a gun to your head and force you to write this bull!
Tsvangirai's "strategy" if it is one, is actually the wisest course of action he could have taken because Zim is on a slippery slope and most certainly needs to be top of mind and in the "crisis in-tray". Politics is about strategising and Tsvangirai has out-strategised Mugabe!
I really hope the world does pay attention and act decisively and correctly!
Yes yes.Now it's up to SADC AND THE INTERNATONAL COMMUNITY to do what they where supposed to do since the end of time.Let mugabe know that no man is omnipotent and that the will of the ZIMBABWEAN nation has to be respected as shown in the MARCH ELECTION(zanu pf TRIED TO FIX THE ELECTION RESULTS BUT NO WAY).We are not a violent nation. We only seek freedom and economic vaibility from a bully regime.Simple but not very simple.
Sanctions are here... hehehe...let's see what else we're going to need to oust the old crook and his band...
The end is near and life is a bitch... those who committed atrocities are well known and they will have to respond...

where do these people come from? oh sorry i forgot the writer came straight from torturing MDC and opposition supporters. the writer has obviously never lived outside of Mugabes pay cheque either. Go you stupid moron and find out that the rest of the world is going to stamp out Mugabe, maybe not this week or the next but soon. How the hell can you call Mugabe anything but a lunatic dictator hell bent on his and his cronies wealth at the expense of Zimbabwe. Only a complete nutter can say God put him there and God can remove him. Wait till the bodies start getting smelly and come tumbling out the cupboard. Then all hells going to break loose.
The Herald is the propaganda mouthpeice of ZANU-PF and nothing it publishes should be accepted as truth.
To the writer of this article as much as to the editorial board supporting his lies, I say...
W A R N I N G !
We KNOW your names. Nothing will be forgotten.

New York - A tense debate gripped the United Nations Security Council on Monday as the United States and European nations called on nations to recognise Zimbabwean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai as that nation's rightful president.
Western powers expressed outrage and pushed a draft statement saying that "until there is a clearly free and fair second round of the presidential election, the only legitimate basis for the government of Zimbabwe was the outcome of" the March 29 election.
Tsvangirai won the first round of voting in March, but he had withdrawn from the run-off scheduled for Friday because he said he and his supporters could not campaign safely and the election seemed rigged.
"If there is no second round, it seems logical that then the last time the people of Zimbabwe expressed themselves democratically with the first round of election - that he won," France's UN Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert told reporters.
I just want to ask the editor of this news: What he can say when the old Man Mr President Mogabe said he will never let the oposition to take the power. Only God will remove him from power? I think Mr Tsvangirai took the right decision to save the life of many peaple
What sycophancy!!!As long as those in power and their stooges, like the one who wrote this editorial, can circumvent the enormous hardships their fellow countrymen are enduring everyday, they continue to play the roles of ostritches. The most annoying thing is the deplorable display of impotence on the part the leaders of the AU.They hide behind the lame excuses of non-interference in the internal affairs of member nations and condone unconstionable atrocities meted out to innocent African. It's disgraceful that only one African leader,Odinga Odinga has been bold enough to demand that Mugabe, the effete leader, step down. What would it take for the whole world leadership to act to bring down this depleted maniac to his knees?
Zimbabwe needs change. But that is Africa where settlers had messed up the whole thing, until the Zimbabweans took up arms against a violent regime under Ian Smith.
Recently in South Africa, Zimbweans and other refugees were brutalized and nobody called for anything like sanctions.
Tsvangirai is a leader who should have known that when two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. Many of his supporters have died or lost property because of the frenzy caused by hardships brought about by sanctions.
Tsvangirai's over dependence on western support has alienated him to sections of Zimbabweans. When Mugabe finally exits, Zimbabwe may need a new leader, not Tsvangirai. Why did he take refugee in a western embassy if he wants an African Union solution?
Zimbabwe's freedom was won after a protracted armed struggle and violence was used. Today, history is repeating itself through violence. Tsvangirai should have known that war veterans would not have liked hearing him make nonsense of their struggle.

Mugabe should be tried for Human Rights contravention and if found guilty be hanged. This is a shame for Africa, and I can’t believe the world is watching aimlessly. Mugabe knows very well that the toothless UN is not going to intervene. After all what have they done in other countries? I used to convince myself that the idiot would soon die, but from all indications if left alone this power hungry monster might live for ever. African leaders are pretending because they are all flocks of the same plumage. Shame to Africa
You so stupidly asked :
"Why did he take refugee in a western embassy if he wants an African Union solution?"
Well was there any fu..ing other way to save his life ? Were YOU there maybe, to offer assistance ?
You also have an agenda here and as much as I do not care about Tsvangirai, I would take anything but that Mugabe bastard.
I think the person who wrote this column is a pathetic MUgabe supporter. Please if you do not have anything to say leave to those with the brains. how can you say that when you yourself has seen people evidence of torture and intimidation of the opposition. Please next when you comment try and be realistic and face the real world that has people in it. You are such unbelievable person with Mugabe's eggo. Stop insulting the people of Zim they do not need comments like yours.Wake-up
Your piece reminds me of a bible reader who reads it carefully, but selectively. It is a known fact that your paper is the only legimate paper and mouth of the now military led state of your country.
One African leader of Guine Bissau once said "Tell no lies and claim no easy victories", your paper is telling the world lies and claiming easy victories by saying somebody should grow-up.
Why dont you tell the world why this "child" you say it should grow-up has withdrawn? what we know and read is that everytime he goes to a rally he is arrested, is not true? remember tell no lies. who is jail currently facing treason charges while the country is preparing elections? is not one of the MDC leaders? tell the truth.
Who disrupted the meeting of the opposition in your country on that "bloody" Sunday when the "child" you claim that it should grow announced the withdrawal?. Tell the truth.
In fact you and your editorial board should grow-up.
Cherly, you are obviously a Mugabe supporter. Shame, shame on you for supporting a man who is killing his own brothers and sisters - the very people who fought for him and put him into power. What an abuse of that power! It is not that you are blind but that you are brainwashed stupid. What sanctions to Zimbabwe? Go and ask Mugabe from where he got the money to purchase his diamond mines in the Congo. And whilst you are at it ask him also where he got the stashes that the West has seen fit to freeze (one of your sanctions) For them to bother freezing it, it has to be HUGE. So you see, your Mugabe is not only a murderer, but a thief too. Oh I forgot - and stingy too. He won't give you a penny for supporting him. You will starve just like the rest. Enjoy!
Who was accused twice of treason and cleared BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT MADE IT UP!???
Talk about taking something way out of context, and then accusing others of your sins. LOL, what a dummy.

ISS........ are you as big a freaking "tool" as your prior post suggests?
Let's start from the beginning then...........
80% unemployment........ 1,000,000% inflation (I did not know this was even possible) 30% of your native-born population has left the country
In case I forgot...... the ZANU-PF's ignorance of the rights of ALL men/women.
The loss of the civil right of a secret ballot.... even for the police & military..... The loss of right to free assembly, and the rights of political parties to rally.... The loss of a free press - the Herald does not count! The loss of free speech without fear of retribution The right to insult the president or any other member of government
The "government" may NOT infringe upon the rights of the individual as regarding life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness. THIS is a universal truth of mankind!
NONE of these "Freedoms" have any relevance to the color of one's skin! The basis of "true" freedom is colorblind! STOP with the constant bleating over the inequities of the colonial regime - it was almost 30 years ago! The rest of the world does not care any longer except when you so abrogate these "liberties" that they can no longer ignore the tyranny you have replaced for another. If "Africa is for Africans", then show you can handle the responsibility and not blame your prior colonial masters 30 years after the fact! What have you done for me (or your own people) lately"?
Answer me this, Zimbabweans are more politically empowered than they were under Ian Smith's Rhodesia, yes? How well fed are the people of Zimbabwe under ZANU-PF/Mugabe? How well educated are the people of Zimbabwe under ZANU-PF/Mugabe? How well does the medical system in Zimbabwe care for the people as compared to Ian Smith's Rhodesia?
All nationalistic fervor aside, are the daily needs (food, shelter, education and medical) of the people of Zimbabwe any better than they were under Ian Smith? I think not.......... You cannot feed the people on nationalistic pride, you cannot improve the living standards of the people of Zimbabwe with nationalistic pride! So stop with the nationalistic Bull#%^* of "national sovereignty...........
AND STOP POSTING IN "ALL CAPS", the caps lock button is on the left hand side of your keyboard you f@^&' cretin!
The FACT of the matter is this is not about Tsvangirai........ it never was....... it was about the ability of the people of Zimbabwe to freely express their political will! If he falls by the wayside, it does not mean ZANU-PF/Mugabe won - it only means they have looked to another leader who will respect individual and electoral rights in the alternative to ZANU-PF/Mugabe!
And for your 2nd point - who in their right mind wants to emigrate to Zimbabwe? Your own people are voting with their feet - and leaving........
If Zimbabwe had only 10% annual inflation, if it had only 10% unemployment, if people in Africa were waiting in line to obtain a residency permit - no one would care about what is going on.........
On the flip-side, inflation is 1,000,000%, unemployment is 80%, and 30% of your population has left the country. Sovereignty and National Pride are well and good, but if a government cannot even provide to feed it's own subjects, that is an indictment of their worthiness to govern!
If you really want to get into the "racial" argument....... why would any "white" person want to go and invest in a country where the condition of doing business is that 51% of any company must be owned by a "black"? ZANU-PF certainly thought of a good idea here...... if you want ANYONE to invest, why would you put such stringent racial quotas on such investment?
Another question...... ZANU-PF/Mugabe has done so well the last 10 years of governing that the future is bright for Zimbabwe?
The rest of the world doesn't work that way. But go ahead, be proud, be independent, be sovereign, stand up for the "fist" of ZANU-PF and forswear equitable investments from "white" countries in Zimbabwe. GO ahead and continue to oppress your own people..........
Don't EVER come back to this board in 10 years and complain about how poor life is in Zimbabwe.... Don't EVER ask in 10 years for the international community to come to Zimbabwe and "save" or "prop-up" your economy. Don't EVER ask the rest of the world to invest in your godforsaken country..... Don't EVER insist that national sovereignty trumps the well-being of the people.
All that is wrong with Zimbabwe is merely a direct reflection of it's leaders. If you truly want ZANU-PF/Mugabe to govern indefinitely, you have only to say so. But DO NOT come back here in 10 years time and ask or plead for assistance! If you and your ilk are rewarded with another 5 years of ZANU-PF/Mugabe rule, then you apologists have nothing to blame but yourselves!
Again, you are but a "tool", a big gigantic "tool", manipulated by your beloved ZANU-PF/Mugabe comrades. You are presented with the liberty of the future, but have not the eyes to see it. I hope we will not see the like of you (or Phiri or Kuba) in the future when Zimbabwe is truly starving though ZANU-PF/Mugabe's ineptitude - you will find no compassion here, except that "I told you so"..........
Go ahead, crow about ZANU-PF/Mugabe's hollow "victory". The rest of the world doesn't recognize it, the rest of the world will not come to your assistance under the current regime, the people of ZImbabwe will suffer as a result of this travesty of an "election", but go ahead, be proud of your "victory".
You are such a "tool"!
Sanctions are here... hehehe...let's see what else we're going to need to oust the old crook and his band...
The end is near and life is a bitch... those who committed atrocities are well known and they will have to respond...
run forest, run....
yes its true people have been killed but to my surprise Morgan and his friends the anti-Robert only speaks about MDC surpoters killed as if no Zanu pf people dead. lets be objective we also lost our relatives at the hands of this violence. it needs two to tangle.
Manpo, it is regrettable that there is so much loss of life in your country. In your case who is the aggressor? You can kick a dog numerous times but one day it will bite you. Don't expect to keep mutilating MDC supporters and then expect them to take it lying down.
Can we get back to the FACTS of 80% unemployment, 1,000,000% inflation and 30% of the population of Zimbabwe living outside it's borders?
Oh, I forgot, this piece came from the Herald...........
ZANU-PF/Mugabe has "achieved", in the words of Nelson Mandela, "A tragic failure of leadership"! Does anyone want to argue the wisdom of Nelson Mandela? Phiri? Kuba? Anyone? Does anyone doubt that Mr. Mandela would have been happy/ectstatic to inherit South Africa in the state that Mr. Mugabe found Zimbabwe in 19080?
A country once the breadbasket of Africa, a net-exporter relegated to a net-importer of foodstuffs, a country where a secrecy of the ballot-box no longer applies, a country where freedom of conscience no longer applies. What can ZANU-PF/Mugabe fear from a free election when they have so nobly served the people of Zimbabwe under their stewardship?
ZANU-PF/Mugabe has only delivered independence from white-rule, nothing else! It is one thing to lead a laberation, it is quite another to govern for the benefit of all liberated persons. ZANU-PF/Mugabe has failed in that and, to them, the PEOPLE of Zimbabwe, have had the temerity to renounce them!
Sadly, we are far from the end-game. Mugabe cannot rule Zimbabwe now with the MDC in control of parliament. His only option is too disband parliament, for which the people of Zimbabwe, and the world, will call him to account.
The game is being played into "injury-time", but even if Mugabe prevails in the travesty that is the "run-off" he will be unable to govern, and the MDC dominated parliament will continually "nip at the heels" of the ZANU-PF/Mugabe establishment until they are rendered feeble.
A change is going to come, just not within the timeframe we all hoped an prayed it would come within! The FACTS do not support the continuation of the current regime!
Juhlman, great message but enough already.
Sanctions are here... hehehe...let's see what else we're going to need to oust the old crook and his band...
The end is near and life is a bitch... those who committed atrocities are well known and they will have to respond...

When you say you can smell rats, none will doubt... Your agenda is so clear, it's laughable...
Furthermore, you add : "We are sure all progressive Zimbabweans are sick and tired of Tsvangirai's childish games.."
No sir, that is not correct, the right thing to say is : "The entire world is fed up with Mugabe's methods of intimidation and corruption!" (of which you are a blatant example)
The end is near for you and your bloody regime, get ready for hell, it's coming fast.
