Zimbabwe: Tsvangirai Running Away From His Own Shadow - Police (The Zimbabwe Guardian)

ZIMBABWE'S police commissioner-general has issued a statement quashing claims by the Movement for Democratic Change leader that he was seeking refuge at the Dutch embassy because he feared arrest by police authorities.

"We do not have any complaints from him or his party of any threats of violence or attempts on his life that would cause him to fear for his safety" What nonsence. Then why did the police feel it necessary to ban the opposition rallies on security grounds? The rally was allowed on Sunday, and everyone saw what happened. So clearly it is not safe in Zimbabwe now for any MDC supporter including the should be President.

Floyd should understand that his government stopped functioning in March, its now June. When the madness in Zimbabwe stops maybe then it will be safe, until Mugabe is put away and his generals too, then nothing is safe.

Quite frankly, His Excellency, "Sir" Robert Mugabe should be tried for crimes against humanity. Pending the result he should be held in prison with no possibility of bail.

While Grace Mugabe shops the people starve. She is a modern day Marie-Antoinette, and we all know what happened to Marie in the end.

Justice will be done. Whether by God or by Man "Sir" Robert Mugabe will be punished. An eternity in Hell could not possibly suffice. He is a blight on all of southern Africa and we are all shamed by the SADC's tollerence of this mad fascist despot.

Morgan is not running from his own shadow, he is running from the dark cloud cast by the ZANU-PF!

How can anyone take seriously any statement by Mugabe or his government, with the exception of those which concern his holding onto power? Zanu-PF, and Mugabe himself, have proved themselves entirely inept at ruling, not simply democratically, but in any fashion at all. It is abundantly clear that this dictator will stop short of nothing to retain his grasp of power, even to the extent of destroying his country's economy, terrorizing his people, and murdering opposition leaders.
