I find it very silly for anybody to even suggest that Botswana's action against Zimbabwe could yield any meaningful results. On a military front Botswana is a toddler, they never saw war and they want to practice on Zim. Thank goodness the article being commented on here never mentioned war. We appreciate their assistance and applaud them for opening their borders for our people. However, any action they might think of taking will yield nothing as always. Even SADC doesn't take them seriously when they are being used to play someone else's game. It is supposed to be a rich country but a lot of their own people live in utter poverty and their human development record in terms of education policies for the average citizenry is not impressive despite all the money they have. I think Botswana should rather focus on improving their infrastructure, educate their people to boost their HDI and take care of the bushman before they even think about tackling bigger problems they do not understand. Their history is very different to the rest of the region and as such can be forgiven for not understanding what is happening in Zim.

SW Radio from London does Zimbabwean free spirit and pro-good election people no good. As usual full of anglo propaganda that does not make sense and the information provided has not been reported in any of the other independent media. The article is total rubbish. By "taking action" it doesn't mean that they are going to attack militarily. I may have to agree with Phiri.I read the article on Bloomberg and the term action is the journalists word. Their qoute on Khama has nothing to do with the word action. Media sensetionalism going on here. Secondly, Botswana does not have any military capacity or any kind of capacity to do anything to Zim. RSA has historically and today yields the biggest influence on the events in Zim. So to think Botswana can do anything is day dreaming. Is our desperation for change driving us to read what we want to read when we know that on a practical level Botswana is not an influential player in Zim politics?
