If this administration is out of options at this stage them may I offer assistance. First of all, this summit preparation process has shown that there are things wrong with the way the summit was planed. This Gambari person should be substituted. secondly, this summit has a lot to offer the people of the Niger delta but as we can all see, the so called leaders like this edwin clarke person and (unbelievably the biggest thief of the Niger delta) Ibori, have other intentions (bunkering and sponsoring of militancy cannot be put past him especially). so the case for the summit should not be made to these people but to the everyday citizens of the Niger delta. educate them on the usefulness and fairness of the summit. make the promise to deliver, straight to the people. these "leaders" who want to delay and kill the summit so they can eat/steal oil money should be exposed while the case continues to be made to the people through news paper articles, pigeon English adverts, documentaries, news bulletins on T.V and so on. The review of the old recommendations would take too long and the the so called "fine tunning" by these "leaders" would take even longer and we would have spent even more money. on the other hand, this summit could be made to last only 1 month and its implementation made to start just as quickly (MAX 1 month later also). weight the 2 and see which is best.

By the way, should Ibori be in jail? what happened to that EFCC thing?.

In actual fact, the failure of this ochestrated manouvering by the administration, is due not only to Gambari chairing the summit but to the underlying problem of pure ETHNIC RECENTMENT or TRIBALISM that has controlled the polity since independence. 99.9% of the politicians in the country are downright TRIBALISTIC operating on the policy of non inclusion characterized by 'WE' and 'THEY' and using all means to loot the country's treasury so that the money in the country can always remain with 'US' not 'THEM'. These politicians will prefer to let the country run aground rather than support the only solution to this fundamental problem of allowing each Geo-political division to freely develop economically as is the case in Canada, the US or Britain. This solution will necessitate a fundamental change of the constitution to reduce the present 36 absolutely non-viable states to 6 (six) only states in the country to finally eliinate the overbearing ETHNIC RECENTMENT or TRIBALISM that has made corruption endemic and progress in the country ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. Changes to the contitution can and should be backed by REFERENDUM but all the reasonable organizations in the country should not be afraid to come out boldly for effective changes as the Niger Delta leaders have demonstrated. NOW IS TIME TO CHANGE!
