I wish to point out that besides learning how not to die from the Zambian President, Bob has a lot to learn from Zambia and other countries in the region and beyond. For a start, Bob claims that Zimbabwe is being punished because of land reforms: I expect him to be aware that this is a wrong premise. One thig is most ex-colonies had similar issues at independence, but they resolved them amicably-without sinking the way Zimbabwe has. I am a Namibian. I spent 3 years in a refugee camp in the in the Rep. of Botswana. The people of Botswana were good to us as refugees. We were refugees from many different countries. There was a few people from Chad too. I have nothing but respect for the people of Botswana. The same goes for the people of Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, S.A. and Zimbabwe. There are more similarities than differences among the people of the SADC regions. Mugabe ruined his country, destroyed his people lives, cut-short their hopes and dreams. Now, he is exporting his hatred to the other countries in region. The amazing thing is, he has supporters outside Zimbabwe. People with low self esteem and low expectation for the continent.

Mugabe behave like a hasbeen diva. remebering the days when he was in a spotlight as a hero on the liberation charts. Those days are over. Streets, stadiums, buildings are named after him. He also have the lion's share if not all the money of the country. It is over.

On behalf of all peace-loving, God-fearing Zimbabweans, I would like to apologise to all the lovely people of Zambia for the reckless, devilish words of our former president and now military ruler, Robert Mugabe. Bad taste is mild way to describe such evil gloating over another man's misfortune, maybe he thought it was humorous? Obviously the people of Zambia love their president while we loathe Mugabe; for that reason may he have a speedy recovery and continue in his place, and may he live to attend Mugabe's funeral.

This hero turned blood-stained monster and illegitimate president of Zimbabwe, Mugabe, may not even get admitted to hell after death. The souls of all those innocent citizens of Matabeleland as much as those of the most recent political violence that he ordered to kill will haunt him forever.

We have a lot to let from politics. All the jostling that's happening infront of the media is political posturing. In his twisted mind, Mug is seeking legitimacy and on the other hand Tsvan is seeking moral superiority. Behind the curtains, a stage is being set for a more stable country. I say stability (security) before divergence of opinions is paramount. my only question why is the West so obsessed with a small mineral rich country in Africa. If they could spread their love(evangelism about democracy) all over the world, we would have less cynics. At the moment Zimbabwe doesn't need love (Maslow). It needs stability.

Mugabe has trully lost it, which in my opinion is a shame not only to the Zimbabweans but to all Africans. Reasonable leaders are sending message of goodwill for the hard working Zambian president, Dr. P.L. Mwanawasa and he (Mugabe) is busy trying to joke about his neighbor and fellow leader's situation. I wish to make a call to those that continue rallying behind Mugabe to reconsider their position and evaluate as to whether Mugabe still has values remaining in him. Leaders are chosen by God and I think Mugabe has forced himself to be in leadership for too long that one wonders whether he is still among God's chosen leaders. For now I can only ask for serious prayers from God loving sisters and brothers for God's intervention on Mugabe. I say "Mugabe leave your neighboring Zambia alone and especially Dr. Mwanawasa".

Why do so many African leaders still respect Mugabe? Is it because the majority of them would not hesitate to use the same tactics to stay in power forever? Mugabe is a disgrace to Zimbabwe and Africa as a whole for taking away the dignity of a once proud nation. He ought to be told as much by his fellow ( rather gutless) African leaders, including the infinitely spineless Mbeki. Furthermore I personally think an example should be made of him lest, others consider emulating his shameful example.

Now President Mwanawasa may or may not be dying as a result his stroke, but his exit (should it be soon) will be a dignified one, full of respect for having scored a historical one for Africa - a willingness to stand up to Mugabe and search for solutions outside the rhetoric. As for Mugabe, old man that he is, his grey hairs will NOT go down to the grave in peace (or respect), and in case he thinks that is not too bad he will get to see his worst fears realised. (have no hard feelings against him but don’t understand his real motives and moral values) While Tsavingirai victory was narrow and called for a second run, Raila’ s was very clear in all conditions and did not require a mathematical minded person to ascertain.

On the contrary and to the surprise of even all African countries some of which close neighbors and even confidants of Kibaki, the US were the first to complement Kibaki followed by the controversial Museveni. Hypocrisy.

Today Kibaki is sitting on the throne comfortably simply because he has so far done nothing to embarrass the great masters – you all know who they are.

When the racist South Africans and the racist Rhodesians were brutalizing and killing Africans, ALL Africans rallied together. Mass burials of all those Zimbabwean white farmers. Mugabe like the white racists does not think twice about killing. Had the Africans sat back and did nothing about the racists, mass hangings and burials of the Africans would still be the order of the day. Akapfunde, the years that asbestos was being mined, was LONG before it was known just how very dangerous asbestos was. It was known to cause silicosis but the degree of lung damage caused by this malady was not researched as much as it is now. Today, there has been so much advance in medicine, that many more diseases and their treatments are known. It was not even quite known at that time that asbestos also causes deadly mesothelioma.
