ATTEMPTS by the United States, Britain and their allies to use the United Nations against Zimbabwe reveal the extent to which the global body does not represent the interests of Third World countries.
The UN Security Council (Russia, China and South Africa included) have resolved that Mugabe's regime is responsible for the political violence in Zimbabwe. The election observer teams of the AU and SADC have declared that the election was not an expression of the people of Zimbabwe.
What then is so unusual that the Secretary General speaks out against this illegal and brutal regime?
The only problem I can see that most guys don't I think. In my inner world I believe the Russians and Chinese did a good job. They dealt with western countries for a very long time. Experience is a great teacher. Its very difficult to get a fair deal with Americans and the British people when comes to making a political decision. The only thing they can show is pictures which shows bad news about your country for their self interests. If you are a black person living in the UK and USA - don't think you are wanted in their country. Their media is flawed and does not represent true facts about situation in Zimbabwe. They only show - an extract of what's happening in the country. Briton like junk news. Its like having KFC and McDonald's food at all the times. Westerns think that they are champions of democracy. We all know that they not. They create problems of which can't solve
Hypocritical, you say? Did someone mention hypocrisy?
Let me see now; ah, yes, hypocrisy; feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not; especially, or the false assumption of an appearance of virtue.
Pakistan........where Supreme Court judges were summarily dismissed by the military and political leader, General Pervez Musharraf (now President Musharraf), imposed a state of emergency in the run up to elections. Where a failed assassination attempt on opposition leader, Benazir Bhutto, killed over 140 supporters of the Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) in one day (more than the MDC claim have died in political violence in Zimbabwe in more than four months). Where the opposition leader was killed in a second, this time successful assassination effort. Where military leader General Musharraf lost the eventual election but is still today president of Pakistan. A country suspended from the British Commonwealth for imposing a state of emergency during election run up and now reinstated to the Commonwealth despite an unelected president.

Pakistan, a country that is known to have training camps for international terrorist but is also a friend of the US who have declared a "War on Terror".
So this member of the British Commonwealth and ally of the US with its unelected president and dead opposition leader takes daily criticism from Western governments and media, how? Remind me, please, for my memory must be failing.
Perhaps it's Pakistan's nuclear weapons that keep the UK, the EU and the US as close allies. Perhaps this is the lesson to others threatened by the West, get yourself a nuclear capability and witness the West kiss any part of your anatomy you desire.
Hypocritical, you say?
SHOOT! Apologies for posting the above post in the wrong place. It should be on the "Why Zim, Why Now" thread? Sorry!

It's enough to stick in your gut hey!To think that those with the hearts and minds of dogs call for fairness from the UN chief.
