DIVISIONS within Zanu PF, which appeared to have disappeared following the shock March 29 election setback, have returned to haunt the party after Vice-President Joseph Msika recently labelled some party functionaries in Matabeleland as sell-outs.

Yes Baasi! Wena Baasi!Clearly you are a rhodie. Typical mindset of your type is always to get Afrikans permanently at war as has happened in the DRC since the deaths of Dag Hammersshold and Lumumba way back in the 1960s. You want war in Zimbabwe. You wont get it my friend because we do not have Kikuyus, Luos etc in Gt zim. Tsvangirai hails from the same soil as RMG. By the way there are hundreds of RMG's fellow Zimbabweans with better and bigger mansions .... some are the President's neighbours. Come and see for yourself. Are you jealous?? Let go and leave us Zims to live our lives , mess or no mess, as we work out Zim life to be !!! Its our mess. Its our Gt Zim. PRAY we shall for the leadership of Zimbabwe and we, ordinary zimbabweans , are going to learn to leave politics to politicians like the they do in the USA and in the EC. Show respect and defference to our leaders
Respect and deference are earned. RMG earned the respect he had but how can that buy him deference forever? Real leaders are always held to account for their performance. He is no longer worthy of the respect he once held.
Military language
ZANU-PF only knows military language. Listen, obey, execute and sing Mugabe's praise!!
Rats will start abondoning the sinking ship in ever increasing numbers in the coming weeks and months. The genocide in Matabeleland and the recent killings, maiming and rape have tarnished the name ZANU-PF to the extent that sooner or later that name will be thrown into the history basket.
In the meantime, people should join in encouraging more dissent until the party gets wiped off the scene. Let those in the tarnished party whose hands are clean set up a new party with a new vision of hope, tolerance and humanity.
Prem..prem.. who the hell are you? can't you see what the whiteman is trying to do to our great nation. He is aware that this day and age slavery would not work.So what does he do, he creats civil wars, sanctions and economic hardships such that fools like you would run up to them in the name of political asylam and offer them cheap labour.Wake up you idiot....
How much I would wish I were wrong! I pray that my adversaries were right that Mugabe, at the helm, can bring freedom, justice, peace, harmomy, prosperity, etc!!
I am only taking stock of the past and interpreting the present. Why should those who do not accept my interpretation treat me as an idiot, fool and what not??
Are they not showing intolerance which maverick Mugabe takes to the extreme to wipe off supporters of his opponents? Chiki and the likes would surely hack me to pieces should I come in their sight!
What ahs been proven times and again is that a house built on a weak foundation (here it would be on lies, murder and terror from Mugabe's side) will soon crumble and thereby bring more suffering to the occupants. I have been steady in my writings in that respect.
I would be amongst the first to hail Mugabe should he retire as a symbolic President with Tsvangirai as executive PM. Any attempt by maverick Mugabe to cling to power will call for militant opposition.
Why treat me as a muzungu? I have a longer record fighting Mugabe's dictatorship. I am a living witness how the rotten situation in Zimbabwe is also halting general development in the region. Just talk to my Zimbabwean friends whose wives, daughters or sisters have been murdered, maimed or raped in front of their eyes.
Where do you pluck courage to still defend maverick Mugabe in the name of revenge against the whites?
Why can't we lift ourself to the level of human beings and condemn vogorously all crimes, whether whites or coloured people committing them?
Come on!! Let's join in building a new world. Is it hard work to change your perception.
"maverick is a person who shows independence of thought or action, a non-conformist." Prem, you do Mr. Mugabe great honor. Thanks.
Well, I am no linguist, but thought that associating bloodstained with maverick would project Mugabe as somebody riding roughshod on the majority will of his subjects. I do concede some readers may not catch this subtlety. Sorry!
As regards Akafunde1's claim that, quote "we (Zimbabweans) are going to learn to leave politics to politicians like the they do in the USA and in the EC. Show respect and defference to our leaders" unquote, it should not be left unchallenged.
Factors that make democracy work, though imperfectly, are (i)the separation of powers of government with a democratically elected legislative, an accountable executive and an independent judiciary and (ii) the lively existence of innumerable civil society organisations (CSO)that represent a boiling melting pot of differing and at times conflicting interest groups exerting democratic pressure in an attempt to influence the toughts of the day.
Some African countries are gradually moving towards reaching such a state of situation. Examples are South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Mauritius, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, etc.
We in these countries cannot leave Zimbabwe to rot on its own and as such pull down the whole southern African region to disaster. That is not the only reason, however. Morally, we cannot stand by and see a hero turned murderer butchering his subjects physically and intellectually. We cannot stand by when it comes to crimes against humanity by someone trying to ride roughshod on the will of the majority.
Akafunde1 is misled to believe that people in US and the EU leave their politicians at peace to govern! The fate of Nixon? Recently, the fate of Blair in the UK for, amongst other things, having led his country to join the Irak war without adequate discussions. The defeat of Berlusconi and his late re-emergence. There are hundreds of examples showing in these countries that whoever the politician who cannot manage an adequate consensus of his or her subjects soon taste defeat at the polls.
And they gracefully accept their defeat, often acknowledging that the wish of the people was an expression of God. They congratulate the winners and retreat.
In Zimbabwe, bloodstained Mugabe claimed he was God-annoited! He claimed his sword was mightier that the pen of the MDC. He further said that he would unleash a war if his subjects voted en mass in favour of MDC!! In anticipation that his subjects were not heeding his warning, he unleashed terror and caused 5 million Zimbabweans to ran away to seek refuge in neighbouring countries.
In the circumstances, if I respond to my heart's calling, moral and human, to denounce murderer Mugabe and cronies and plead for the building of a solid foundation in Zimbabwe on which the people could rely to promote freedom and prosperity - why should my action attract abuse from some quarters?
What has white, muzungu, and all that got to do with my honest attemt to add my humble voice to those of the millions of Zimbabweans whose cry for peace and justice should be supported by all means!
May I therefore call on all my detractors to change mind and join in helping Zimbabwe start with a clean slate.
Should Mugabe and cronies experience the pain of meaningful change in that process, well - they have to blame themselves.
ZanuPF in Zim is the same thing as the Mafia is in Italy and America. A Bunch of corrupt gansters....And they will die like the Mafia
Akapfunde, with your outbursts of "Shut up you muzungu," to Prem, how would YOU like it if he said "Shut up you Muntu" to you? I bet we would not hear the end of it. So there goes from me, "Shut up you senseless old muntu." You know nothing and you talk rubbish.
Are you sure the mafia is dead? What an idiot, get your facts straight. Say whatever you want to say about zanu-pf and Mugabe, but do you have to lie in the process.
Apparently you do not know much about the mafia!
What about Mugabe selling out to the Chinese?!? He did get a £4.5million mansion for it though. Lucky bugger!
