Whatever comes of talks will not deter the western powers from further annihilating the Zimbabwean populace up till Zimbabweans agree to a pre 2000 status quo with respect to property rights that benefits whites. The aggrieved are the former colonisers who will do anything against the Zim population to prove that by taking land, indigenizing the economy and looking east for much complimentary business treaties is against their world order and deserve some punishment. Tsvangirai, once made VP or PM can easily be discarded by the western oppressors and Zim will continue to reel on sanctions. MDC was simply high jacked along the way to effect the western liked illegal regime change, now NGOs will have a better part to play to remove liberation movements’ ideals for Africa. A luta continua!

A luta continua?? In which world are living? Please, don't ridicule Africans with empty slogans! Zimbabweans with empty stomachs and terrorised by bloodthirsty Mugabe will not taste your bitter pill anymore.

Annihilating Zimbabweans? Should you not ask why 5 million of your countrymen have sought refuge in SA? Should you not ask why others in hundreds are still now queuing up in Botswana after the run off elections to seek protection there? Was the West necklacing Zimbabwean refugees and putting them on fire in Jo'burg? Why can't you wake up when toilet paper has more value than Mugabe's 10 billion Dollar note?

What have external elements to do when Mugabe's cronies having unjustly received large tracks of agricultural land that they just leave lying as wasteland?

Mugabe's days are numbered! You like it or not, he will be dragged to court to answer the genocide in Matabeleland and recently the killings, maiming and rape of opponents. Will you react only when you begin to witness the rape of your wife, daughter or sister by Mugabe's thugs?

God-annoited Mugabe will not transfer power peacefully. Tsvangirai is in the talks under duress. Mbeki will soon realise he is also a victim of Mugabe's cunningness!! Alas! By then, Zuma will be preparing to take over the helm in SA. He will not tolerate a bloodthirsty tyrant in a neighbouring country sending its citizens running to SA for protection and endangering SA's own socio-economic development!

Already, resources in SA, Botswana and Zambia are being stretched to their utmost to cater for basic needs of Zimbabweans. Events in Zimbabwe are no more considered "internal" by citizens in these countries.

You just have to sit and wait should the tyrant refuce to go. Zimbabwe will be invaded by the neighbouring countries to liberate you from a tyrant destabilizing Southern Africa. Remember Tanzania liberating Uganda from the grips of another tyrant.

Your empty slogans will lead you to disaster. You better wake up and join efforts to facilitate the promotion of freedom, justice and a democratically elected government.

Onesoulzim, you a nothing but a warmongerer. People like you making up lies like this is what causes the troubles in Zim in the first place. Where do you get your information that the west want to take Zim back to a pre 2000 status in regards to property rights that affect whites? Its simply not true. The majority of the west is happy that the land is now in the hands of zimbabweans apart from the land in the hands of ministers who cant farm. You have clearly been listening to the lies and propaganda of Mugabe for too long!

Indie, come on now - we all know that YOU are the real liar here. You have been fabricating so much lies on this site and you are not even a Zimbabwean. What Onesoulzim has said is what i have told you and your cronies ages ago but you just cant accept it. Why don't you just creep back under that rock you came from......where ever that is because Zimbabwean's don't need your negative input!

l definitely agree with most of you guys. Only people with negative minds want the talks to collaps. The post of a vice presidencey is a very fair post for Mogiza. l believe prem is a South African judging from his continued remarks about Zuma. I said it yesterday politics is a game and every player plays to win. Watch this space when your Zuma becomes president.

chiki...given that it is reportedly mugabe's intransigence that has stalled the talks...it would be far to conclude then that it is he and zanu with the negative minds that you identify on here and foolishly ascribe to fair minded level headed people?? Where do you people get this fantasy that america and britain are waiting at the SA border to rush into the country..where??? why would anyone leave the conforts and security of the western world to go and suffer in the basket case that zimbabwe is today...the rhodies built a gem of a nation and the zimbos trashed in under two decades..that is what you should be condemning...not the fictional monster in the cupboard!!!!

Turnex...The UN rejected mandatory and even targeted sanctions on Zimbabwe which is not a threat to international peace, why is the US and Uk defying the mandate of the UN. If they are members of the UN then honestly they should abide by the UN constitution. Which president in the world has the right to impose sanctions on a sovereign nation and on whose agenda? Who doesnt know that Bush is a war monger, and has been bussy trying to distabilise our great nation. Our lines of credit have been chocked to squeeze us into submission and recently our mining companies have been put on the illegal sanction list, for what? And you tell me the Bushes, Blairs and Browns have no interest in our country, you must be jocking. All these lies and demonisation of our country by the West is all nothing put politicking. The theme is no one absolutley noone chalenges the west and its alies. Who declared Bush the Headmaster of the world and Brown as his deputy? They cause civil wars and economic hardships in Africa such that they give conditional aid. Now they have taken the Sudaneise President to the ICC for what really? Why cant they take Bush there for the wars he has caused the world over? Only maybe because he is not African. Please just leave Africa alone...

Because I spoke the truth backed with facts to refute your last post..you come back and start prattling on about sanctions..lines of credit..blah blah blah... which were never a part of the discussion. So we agree then that mugabe is the negative thug in this and not us. I cannot see how myself, awt, prem..etc can stall the "talks" going on in SA. Grow up!!!!

Chiki, its interesting you speak of Blair, Bush etc, but remember they arent the ones targeting civillians. You forget there is a group out there by the name of Al-Qaeda that is sending suicide bombers to kill innocent civilians. If you want to know why so many innocent civillians have died in Iraq, take a look at suicide bombers and internal fighting between Shiites and Sunnis. The sudanese president deliberatetely murdered innocent civilians to wipe out tribes of people. The serbian guy did the same. Bush Blair and Brown have not deliberately target innocent civilians.

Ask yourslef how many Zimbabweans Mugabe has murdered during his reign. And whats worse, is that these are his own people. Can you imagine Bush being as bad as to order the murder of 20,000 people from Florida, or for another 100 to get murdered during an election he thought he would lose? Wouldnt happen. Mugabe does this to his own people. Cant you see?

"Now they have taken the Sudaneise President to the ICC for what really?" You cannot be serious? I guess in Zimbabwe, genocide isnt all that serious now is it...

Aaah Kube. Welcome back. Been on holiday? Exploring the south island? Perhaps some skiing? Or have you made it over to the fiji? Must be pretty tough for you in NZ. Not fabricating lies at all here. Show me one strand of evidence that comes from the west stating the west wants to reverse the land grab to pre 2000 levels. That is simply a lie designed by mugabe to sway voters his way on the pretence that he can save Zimbabwe from this imaginary enemy he has created.

Museveni aide ‘bought chemical, bio weapons’ Monitor correspondent

London

A Danish national appeared before a London court on Monday on charges of transferring chemical and biological weapons to Mr Ananias Tumukunde, an aide to President Museveni who has been in the custody of British authorities for several weeks on charges of money laundering.

Mr Niels Jørgen Tobiasen, 55, who appeared before the Southwark Crown Court for a pre-trial hearing, is a director in a Copenhagen-based firm that supplies sophisticated software and hardware to armed forces in the United States, Great Britain, Nato, and to more than 20 other countries. He is suspected of having dealings with Mr Tumukunde, a Ugandan diplomatic passport holder, who was arrested in the UK on April 3, charged with five money laundering-related offences, and remanded at Hamondsworth Prison. Mr Tobiasen was arrested on July 17 in London after a two-month investigation, and three months after Mr Tumukunde first appeared in court. Mr Tumukunde was not in court on Monday when Mr Tobiasen appeared before Southwark Crown Court but prosecutor David Levy asked Justice Martin Beddoe to have the two suspects appear in court together when trial starts on August 22.

According to the indictment seen by Daily Monitor, it is alleged that between April 1, 2007 and April 4, 2008, Mr Tobiasen “conspired together with Ananias Tumukunde and Lt. Col. Rusoke Tagaswire to transfer, acquire, use or have possession of criminal property” in contravention of Britain’s Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. Prosecution says Mr Tobiasen “on the 15th day of January 2008 transferred criminal property, namely Chemical and Biological weapons”. Lt. Col. Tagaswire, a Uganda People’s Defence Force officer, is still at large. A bio-chemist with a degree in toxicology, Lt. Col. Tagaswire was part of the team appointed by President Museveni last year to investigate the suspicious death of Brig. Noble Mayombo who died after a sudden and intense illness that aroused suspicion of poisoning. The report of their findings has not been made public.

During Mr Tumukunde’s last appearance at Southwark Crown Court, the prosecutor, Mr David Whitaker, alleged that Uganda’s diplomatic mission in London was not cooperating in the case against President Museveni’s adviser. Uganda’s High Commissioner to London Joan Rwabyomere denied the claim in an interview with Daily Monitor.

“Yes, we received the questionnaire from [the Crown Prosecution Service]. I forwarded the questionnaire to the Attorney General in Kampala but we haven’t received the response,” Ms Rwabyomere said.

Deputy Attorney General Freddie Ruhindi claimed the office had not received the questionnaire and referred inquiries about the two Ugandan officials back to the high commission in London. The High Commissioner and her deputy, Ms Mumtaz Kassam, were not available for comment.

The army and the government yesterday denied any wrongdoing but pledged to cooperate with the investigators. The Presidential Guard Brigade Spokesman, Capt. Edson Kwesiga, said; “It’s true Lt. Tagaswire is one of us but it’s not right to say he has connections with Mr Tumukunde. We are more than willing to help the investigators in this case with any information they may require.”

The Minister of Information, Mr Kirunda Kivejinja, said yesterday: “We want to identify the actual mission he (Tumukunde) had gone for, but as government we don’t do clandestine work. We will assist in giving any information they (investigators) want….”

Ms Kassam and President Museveni’s legal aide Fox Odoi have been seen outside the London courthouse where Mr Tumukunde is being tried. Lawyers working for the Kampala government have separately asked court to either drop the charges against Mr Tumukunde or have him released on bail but on both occasions, the judges have concurred with prosecutors; Mr David Levy and Mr David Whitaker that Mr Tumukunde should remain in custody as investigations continue. Each count against Mr Tumukunde carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in jail.

Chemical and biological weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction. The release of nerve agent sarin in a Tokyo subway in 1995 was a rare terrorist chemical attack while the mailing of anthrax bacteria to government and news media offices in the United States in 2001 is one of the most recent examples. Uganda is a signatory to both the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention and the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention which prohibit the use of these types of weapons due, in part, to the indiscriminate nature of their lethal effects.

Indeed WMDs are a serious matter, but I shall assume from your previous posts and arguments that you are pointing to this as evidence that 'the west' are selling chemical and biological weapons to African governments.

This is not the case, as it is a single company that stands accused of this ..... and if you think for one second that 'the west' are the only people producing and supplying this sort of weapon, then you are very much mistaken.

Governments and companies all over the world are involved in this sort of production and dealing all year round, yet you pick this single instance ..... assumably because it is a citizen of a western country and an African that are in court (keep your eyes on this one and lets see if your racism theories are true, because its a western court).

Mbazambia and your wimps, there you go again crying "The sky is falling, the sky is falling, the whites are coming, the West wants to donner us!" Get a grip. If the West wanted to annihilate the African continent do you think President Bush and the American people would have signed a global Aids bill worth US $48 billion dollars when it has more than 1.1 million of their own Americans living with the Aids virus? As it is BILLIONS of dollars from the American people through George Bush are being spent in Darfur and billions more being spent in Rwanda which has reduced the incident of children born with the Aids virus from 40% and above to the present 5%. A great feat. America is also spending thousand of dollars helping those countries to train their local populace as counselors. So if the west was after destroying you stupid Mugabe lot, they would not bother sanctioning him and they would simply let Mugabe and the Aids virus take care of business. So don't talk rubbish.

You know you are a SOUTHERN RHODESIAN WHEN:

.1. You claim that Zimbabwe was the bread and basket of Africa, even though Zimbabwe (ZIM) exported almost all her agriculture products to EU, especially UK, and also grew Tobacco and other cash crops.

2. You claim that the white population in ZIM is 5% of the total population, without doing the math that shows (50,000/12,000,000) less than 0.5%.

3. You survey your black garden boy whether he would like the old Rhodesia back, and he nods his head with approval, and you conclude that the majority of black ZIMS want Ian Smith and his Rhodesia back. Forgetting of cause that more garden boys working for black people nod with disapproval.

4. You hate ZIM so much that you have gone to the UK permanently, and then after 4 months you start asking where you can find black ZIMS in the UK. After much frustration in the UK, you start calling yourself a white African.

5. You claim that blacks had better education under Smith, when in fact blacks who make up the vast majority were hardly seen at the University of Rhodesia. You conveniently forget that blacks had to pay university fees.

6. When you think Britain should be the only country solving Zimbabwean problems since it was the colonial master.

7. When you are homeless in the Bulawayo and Harare parks and still believe you are superior to the “lower black races”.

8 When you join NGOs and other civil rights organizations, claiming you always believed in Freedom, when in fact you did not talk about Civil rights when the matebele were killed by Mugabe. Civil rights to you mean bringing back those racists white minority farmers to Zimbabwe.
