The Herald (Harare)

PERCEPTION is everything. We know that the devil is in the detail, but the issue is to really identify who exactly is holding the people of Zimbabwe to ransom, and at what cost?
[ See Article ]
I have never heard such short sighted and utter idiocy - some people must be as blind as earth worms not to see the damage Mugabe has done to Zim. People are wailling in the belly of the devil! Zimbabweans have gone far beyond hell and I dont know the name of the place they are now - The Trillionth Hell maybe!
Enough is enough
TRUE 'enough is enough' but what are you doing about it? Calling the President of Gt Zimbabwe names and insult him!!! In the mean time the people are suffering and going without food while all the MDC-T does is crying for the so called EXECUTIVE powers. Till when??? The negotiations cannot go on for ever ... there is a time limit to everything. His Excellence should swear in the willing members of parliament and facilitate Tsvani and his team to go and live in EXILE. The MDC-T cannot be allowed to continue flying in and out of the country and effect damage on the lives of people. I say if MDC-T stay out of the Gvt of unity, the rules of the game would have changed. TAKE THEIR ZIM PASSPORTS and let the come to live in GlasgowUK or BrixtonUK or BrooklynUSA. Muri kutamba nehupenyu hwe vana we Zimbabwe varume.
Mugabe lost the election and should leave. Morgan Tsvangirai is THE ONLY legitimate leader of Zimbabwe. Mugabe must face the fact and leave. In addition he and his murdering thugs should be charged for his crimes!
First and foremost ensure people like yourself have access to a good standard of education so you dont bombard us with all this mugabe worship gaarbage you had drummed into your thick skull at the re-education camps!! If we achieved that, half of zimbabwe's problems would be solved overnight!! We need intelligent people who can see where the problem lies..not people who believe the useless herald that mboro mugabe is a demigod and we should all worship him!!
Funny how Mbeki and all the Mugabe apologists seemed to have all the time in the world for the ZEC to announce the results of the March election (a simple counting exercise which was rapidly completed for the June so called election), but are now struck with a sense of urgency when it comes to the highly complex matter of trying to agree the structure of a GNU.

Must we not agree with Aka.. that there is a time limit for everything? The tragedy is that Aka does not think Mugabe's time limit was long overdue and that he is killing, maiming and raping to continue to cling to power!
Mesmerised by the devil and murderer Mugabe, Aka & co needs massive psychiatric treatment before they get paranoiac with the ever mounting super hyperinflation making them believe Mugabe made them richer (with billion Dollar notes in their pockets) that the Bill Gates!
I agree with your analysis - these negotiations are no longer about politics but the people's survival and it appears MDC-T does not get it. I thought they knew that boycotting the election was to give executive power to President Mugabe. Now they want to have their cake and eat it too. In the meantime holding the suffering masses to ransom. What selfishness!
Again Morgan Tsvangirai won the election NOT Mugabe. Zimbabweans will get immediate and massive benefits by installing the legitimate government of Morgan Tsvangirai. There is a huge amount of aid money waiting to be delivered to Zimbabwe if the democratic will of the people is honoured. Removing the illegitimate and violent Mugabe [he and his criminal colleaugues must be jailed for his crimes]we will see a quick return of investment and tourism. The people say Mugabe must go and he should!
akafunny...there is a job going at the Herald for a love-blind worshipper of mugabe to write tripe for his cheerleaders...Please apply!!
The herald is like Mugabe's mtoto , it stinks !
What a shame, you ought to cry the beloved country that has been brought to its knees by the powers in control now. Why do you point a finger at somebody who hasn't been in power? Is your vision so clouded and biased? Are you not ashamed when people starve in our once glorious country? Shame on you, and your kith and kiln. If your tummy is full, how about the millions that are starving? Why should one man be more important than the millions?
with inflation at over a million percent the govt will soon not be able to pay the army or the airforce and so we will see how the security forces hold up the power for mugabe. time is on the side of MDC, just wait. in a years time mugabe will be gone, so will a few more people have left and zim will start to look like the stone ruins it is well known for.anyone who can see outside of zim and who lives outside sees that any govt with mugabe will fail. End of story. Understand that.
Herald save our space please. We are tired of your rubbish. Your days are numbered, the dailynews is actually polish and heating up its machines to start telling the truth. Tsvangirai won the election and thats all. Why should the parliament open when the real legitimate president is not yet swon in?
jeff...problem is these very same fools are so stupid they do not realise that the currency is virtually worthless now and when it does run out..oh boy..oh boy..put it this way..the day the currency runs out I will be glad my name is not the RT Hon Robert Gabriel Mugabe!!LOL
Again, The Herald misinterprets the MDC's position. Just because you are a houseful of "YES" persons does not mean that every person has to be like you. If God had created all of us with the same views this world was going to be boring. MDC have a right to take their time and consult whoever it deems fit for that purpose. By the way, "whose tune is Mugabe singing?" As far as the majority of Zimbabweans are concerned he doesn't have the majority with him. That's the reason why he acts randomly because he doesn't have a mandate and the constituency to report.
Whoever the author of this article is, they are delusional. Does one believe that if a lie is told through the media that people will believe it? This opinion piece is much like the "Bigfoot" story from the US. It is purely fantasy and should never have been published. It is poor journalism that allows op-ed pieces like this to disrupt normal life.
Unfortunately, there is a large section of the population that will believe this garbage simply because it is in print. How sad . . .
What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul in the process? These blind, brown-nosing, boot-licking, d**k-licking, grovelling idiots like this writer must know they are partaking of other mens' sins. We'll judge them harshly when the time comes. What has Tsvangirai done wrong? If these guys really believe that he is not representing the views of the majority of Zimbabweans who would have compromised GREATLY for RG to remain even ceremonial president, then they do not understand the reality of their predicament. If they really believe they can proceed without engaging MDC-T, they should be welcome to, after all they WON with a landslide victory, right? Tsvangirai is not doing this for power, otherwise he would have accepted anything like Mutambara, but he is thinking of DELIVERABLES from the GNU out of an insincere, ineffective union. That he is seen by many, Zimbabweans first and other neutrals like the West as the face of reason and hope of recovery makes him accountable for any deal that he will accept. We WILL EXPECT HIM TO DELIVER, NO EXCUSES. Otherwise i am sure he is quite happy to play opposition politics for another 5 years, although i suspect the Zanny regime cannot last that long...So long makomuredhi, tinoda kuona anotanga kuhwaira!!
Why is Mutambara behaving like a down-syndrome, Arthur basa rinotsvakwa kuvanhu vane potential not from the staggering source. Do you see Mugabe and his Zanu pooling through to the next 6 months? The party has totally failed. Come back to your real senses professor.
As usual the mouthpeace of Robert Mugabe - The Herald - misses the point. Morgan Tsvangirai speaks for Zimbabwe not Mugabe. Dahhhh!!
