You are right.. Kigali whoever he is is very UNAFRICAN. I think he needs a brain transplant. He utterly failed to engage his brain before he wrote article.
In Zambia Kigali now means "unthankful fool". Does it make you(KIGALI) feel better to expose your wicked thinking to the world? Foolish
it worries me to see that journalists of this calibre are allowed to produce articles of this kind, worse still to have their work posted on the internet where they can mislead an even larger population! The views of the journalist were his personal opinion, more so that certain allegations are of such a nature that they would be difficult to justify even in a court of law. The calibre of writing only expected in a desparate gossip news paper! To you, Mr. Journalist, if i may be so polite, you are a shame to the journalism world, though you owe the Zambians no patriotism, your writing carries the tone of war and not peace. You write from your little chair with criticizm of a nation you neither know, nor understand!the fact that you write inspite of your tiny knowledge is shocking, to say the least! One would expect, that with the love this nation has given your poeple you would make better effort to understand that we are not a petty poeple who dwell on outside looks and persona, but on intellect and stature. The again, you lack both so why bother! Keep going Zambians, peaceful loving poeple! Your progress during Mwananwasa's time is more that commendable!
My Dear Editor, "Unlikely Hero": I cannot believe this nonsense really. If you have nothing to write about, then go to sleep you stupid Nyamulenge! Forgetting how you slaughtered each other a few years then ran to Zambia. Do you know how many Nyamulenges are now peacefully doing business in Zambia? We have accommodated them and this is what we get at a moment when we need all the sympathy and prayers really! Very sad, you are no better than Mugabe.
The New Times is not a satirical newspaper and so I'm equally shocked be the display of such disrespect. I don't understand that it went past all editorial checks. So this is a very unsavoury character, as we all agree. Now may I ask why you are calling him Munyamulenge? Where do you see that he is? And even if he was, what does his article have to do with his people? Are you casting the blame on all Banyamulenge? Are the Banyamulenge living in Zambia the ones who wrote this article? Your comment is so full of hatred I can just imagine you calling for punitive expeditions against them. Which makes you just as unpleasant. You read someone's comment and you want to drag a people's name in the mud. People he might not even belong to. Your comment stinks of xenophobia
I would like to express my utter disgust at the editor of this newspaper. If you do not have any editorial comments, please do not expose your stupidity by writing foolish things about other countries. How can you demean my late President like that? Please get a life and just write about how much your war striken Rwanda has progressed. Shame on editors of this useless newspaper
mr editor or whatever you call yourself, you should have come to Zambia to see the thousands that braved the heat to stand in queues stretching for miles just so that we could bid farewell to our beloved president who went out of his way to put this country where it is today.Ask your president Kagame on his vist to Zambia with his wife on the kind of hospitality he received or if he ever had a "dull" moment. You should choose your words carefully. You are so foolish. Our president may have lacked charisma or spoke with a slur but he was highly intellectual and had a great vision for Zambia, the region and Africa as a whole. Unlike some lawyers who go into the proffession to make money, he joined the law fraternity to fight injustice. He was a man of character and very few of todays leaders can stand on the same podium of integrity with him. you did not even care to mention that during the early nineties when he was vice president, he resigned citing rampant corruption. For your info in Zambia we have 73 ethnic groups and have lived in peace since time immemorial.some countries have only two tribes but cannot live side by side.May GOD almighty continue to bless our great land and may he rest the soul of our beloved Levy in eternal peace until we meet again.
I feel sorry for you Mr Editor.. You cant even edit your mouth. How on earth would say such a terrible thing about a PRESIDENT that you don't even know? About a good man? You have no HEART.
If I were you I would be a mistake to belong to the journalism profession and I m glad I m not you. I hope after reading this, you will be a man enough to apologise for the nonsense that we are seeing. If you cant please keep away from Zambian affairs...I glad you are not a Zambian. Maybe the war in Kigali is confusing you.
TO BE FRANK_You are the one who has a slurred brain!!!! SHAME
Nonsence Refugee, Go back to your camp you fool
Nosense. How could surely an editor permit such an article. You guys got, but next time a genocide, look for somewhere else to go not Zambia. How could you surely say such about my president. Now I know why Kigali means un-thankful fool. You truly are.
At last the editors "hard drive" has finally crashed... His mental capacity is now full. its only 1 gig. He lacks charisma, wit and style in everythin he has written. In short he is stupid. Maybe he has family problems. Here in Zambia, we not even moved by what he has written. Wasted time and money. Gets zero percent.
Editor.... Its like you edit and drink. Please get down to work with integrity and do a good job?? But remember you are not welcome to Zambia next time you are bombed?
I am saddened by articles which are not solicited and are unwelcome more so when a nation is in mournind. We should not as much waste our time with Kigali. he might not be from Rwnda, but someone from the Herald_Zim or charamba and you can't put it oast Mugabe though the English was a bit shalow. Long live the people of Zambia. Fellow human beings share these moments with you.
This is a ridiculous aticle. How much does the writer of this article know about our late president (Mwanawasa)about us a nation let alone our politics. Isn't it a shame that one can spread such un orthodixcal propaganda without getting his facts right.
if there was enough space to waste on your editorial colunm why not tell the rest of the world how Rwanda is moving on after all the past turbulence that your country went through.
We Zambians were proud of our President. Please take a plane to Zambia and find out for yourself. Our president led the country in a manner few leaders have done especially in modern African politics. on second thoughts, please don't even bother to take a trip to Zambia. sort out your own problems in.....
Gutted reader.
Alex
I agree with you Alex and Others, the writer of this FOOLISH Article is an arrogate with no charisma, wit and style. I still don't find a satisfactory reason of him coming up with this stupid article. Mr. Writer, wherever you are-Listen to carefuly; From our Zambian Political cornerstone of view and Perspective,,your stupidty is not allowed in our country but PEACE, LOVE, UNITY just to mention a few. Above all, we are still mourning our beloved President and His Soul will not Rest in Peace on YOU coz of your insultment. You are not an Othodox Journalist but one from the streets.
As a Zambian i take great offense to this stupid article. WE are going through a tough time and this is what you post on the internet for our citizens to view. The late president had many people who loved him and those who did not but still we are all gravely distubed and saddened by his passing and do not appreciate such disrespectful things beign writen about our president. All his children are smart and old enough to use the internet and if they stumble across this nonsense how do you think they may feel. Have a human heart. I ask that you have some respect for the dead and speak that way of you own country men and not zambians. RIP president Mwanawasa and may God be with his family and all Zambians world wide. It is truly a great loss
It seems that you are tired about the Dem Rep of Congo and you want to come to Zambia now, shame on you.
Indeed shame on you Kigali. Do you think if President Mwanawasa was dull he could have brought those who are corrupt to answer their charges. It is only those successors who have courage and intelligence who bring such people to court and Mwanawasa is one of them. We pray that Zambia will be led by a person like Mwanawasa. We could not expect Mwanawasa to wipe out hunger in few years but he tried to stabilise things. How many Zambians owned cars before Mwanawasa came to power? Very few but now nearly half of the population are driving. All because of Mwanawasa's leadership.
It is really painful to read such a dirt and unprincipled article on our president from idiots who are ignorant and know completely nothing about how much love we had for our dear President. One wonders who has hired these idiots from Kigali to write such foolishiness about our late President. How I wish the same idiots knew how much we valued H.E. Dr Levy Patrick Mwanawasa then they would write such nonsense. I am really hurt by the article. It portrays a very wrong and bad picture about our late dear president all together. I agree with the other guy who says you can write about how you killed each other and spare us. Zambians are peaceful people and are not murderers like you idiots from Kigali. You now want to provoke us at this trying and painful moment. You should grow up and know what to write at what time. This is indeed foolishness of the highest kind.Double headed creatures, idots, those who thrive on filth and corruption. You appear to be celebrating when we are mourning as if it is a mockable issue. You are next to the devil himself. If the devil died today, you would most likely take his position. Very unprincipled characters.
To the one who is called the editor or writer of the above article: It's raelly a sad to see such a stupid article here. i support my friends who wrote to you saying you should first find the facts and maybe take a plane to Zambia and see by yourself before writing the above article. Since it's already published here i advice you not to do the same mistake in the future. OUR President has done alot to country country and we are proud to say he was our President. May his soul rest in PEACE. We Zambians love each other we are ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION we won't kill each other for hungry power, and we don't one anyone to encite the fellow Zambians that there might be Political instability in Zambia. The Late President Mwanawasa led the way to the next leader and the Zambian people are ready to elect the leader they think he is capable to lead the country.

It really shocking that an Editor of what seems to be a national newspaper can right such an ignorant article on such a sensitive matter. On what basis does he insinuate that Zambia may be heading for political instability and possible chaos. Has he correctly stated, Levy had been incapacitated for close to 2 months before he died. During that period Zambia had been as stable as ever, and will continue to be so. When its neighbors have been engulfed in civil wars and political instability it has always been a safe haven and basket of peace. It eludes logic for one to assume that the situation will be any different now. There will be presidential elections held in Zambia in about 80 days time and they will be held in safe and peaceful atmosphere, even more so because we will honoring the memory of our departed President. Shame on anyone who thinks otherwise
Proudly Zambian
This article is a pain in my neck. I cant imagine how a normal human being can write this at such a difficult time for Zambia. I have no words to discribe this idiot. People who are used to live in war, their brains are upside down due to the noise of bombs and gun shots. Please Kigali go and express your foolness else where.
A lot has been said on the professionalism of the editor or writer of the article. For me, I am not surprised as people like this editor/writer were reported to have contributed to the hatred that led to the killing of so many innocent Rwandese. Please, kigali use your pens to build and not speculate instability where it does not exist. Zambia and its people could export peace if it were possible.
As a concerned Rwandan and ofcourse an African who has been following up the progress Zambia has registered during Mwanawasa's tenure, and considering the respect that should be given to a deceased fellow, i feel so un happy with the statement in our local newspaper the newtimes especially in its second paragraph, such comments given by the author are so un becoming and as such regretable. the newspaper should come out and apologise to Zambians. What ever message that is conveyed in this newspaper does not stand for the attitude Rwandans have for Zambia, it should be taken as the author's own opinion. Zambian Brothers, I really sympathise with you in the tragedy that befell your country for the loss of President LPM. May God rest him in eternal peace.
Its a shame on the editor of this article. You need to lean how to report with some respect and dignity and please have some respect in your articles. We Zambians are proud of the work LPM did and would not call his shoes dull.however your shoes may be the dull ones.
