This is nothing but the truth. During the elections ODM knew beating Kibaki was a tall order so they tried to demonise Kikuyus so that to set all other kenyans againist them with fatal consequences. They promised them all the properties which Kikuyus have 'stolen' from them. Some kenyans fell for it others didnt. Politicians seek votes along ethinic lines in kenya and if posible disfranchise some through violence. In kuresoi for exapmle there are 3 major tribes, the Kikuyu, kisii and the kalenjin. during elections there were 2 strong candindates Zachayo cheruyot of Odm and james koskei of kanu(pnu) who were both kalenjins. James koskei had the support of all the 3 tribes. Zachayo cheruyot had the support of kalenjins who were in Odm. If there was no violence james koskei could have won so to prevent that the kisiis and kikuyus were to be displaced how? through intimidation and violence. This scenarial was replicated every where in the rift valley and nyanza. In nyanza pnu supporters were harassed mugabe style.
