This is a good resolution indeed. The problem, however, is that the Police Chief in Burundi is himself a genocide suspect. He belongs to CNDD-FDD, an organisation that was found by a UN Inquiry Commision to be in close cooperation other genocidal organisations such as the former Rwandan army (Ex-FAR, Interahamwe, and FDLR militias). I agree that it is a very good thing to hunt down genocide suspects, but I find it highly hypocritical to mobilize funds and human resources to look for fugitives, while other genocidists who are openly admitting their crimes, remain unharmed. A case in point is Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi, who, while on a country tour in the Province of Bujumbura Rurale in October 2007, declared that he remembered leading himself a raid in that area. Yet, it is a well-known fact that the CNDD-FDD once raided the Rukina IDP camp and killed dozens of unarmed ethnic TUtsi women and children. Besides, whenever this organisation talked of raid, it was always a campaign aimed at Tutsi refugees. Note also that this attack claimed by Pierre Nkurunziza was not the only one. There had been similar ones at Teza, Bugendana, Butezi, to name but few. Finally, never forget its is this type of 'high deeds' that made the Burundi Police Chief a general. RSVP
