Sometimes Falana never seizes to amaze me - "Obasanjo installed Yar Adua deliberately blah, blah blah..." Pray tell me which one of you is not human enough never to fall sick? Perhaps Falana can predict the future - what if Yar Adua rules not only thru his 1st 4 year term and went on to rule for a second term and lives to be a hundred years old? Anything can happen - who knows tomorrow except God. Point number 2, lest we forget, Ribadu's report that of the 36 states Governors, only 2 are deemed less currupt - Yar Adua and Donald Duke. Personally, my preference was Duke given his personal achievements, governorship record as the best runned state and revenue generating projects like Tinapia which this Yar Adua's administration has gutted. But unfurtunately he is from a minority state and his chances of winning a majority vote when the north was clamouring to have "power returned back to the North" given the underhand arrangement of the day makes Yar Adua the second best choice between two evils to keep away corrupt candidates (like Atiku) out of Aso Rock. Besides, why debate the need for an ING when you have a sitting Presidency of which the VP - Goodluck Jonathan is waiting in the wings should there be a vacancy - we haven't seen an opening yet unless Falana and his crew knew something the rest of us are not aware of. The greatest mistake Nigeria made was trying to change the greatest chance for growth we ever had when there was no need for a change. Now you see countries like Uganda, Cameroon, Libya among a plethora of life long benevolent dictatorship, making progress while we stood still and eventually decline. O well, whatever...
