Mr. Momoh, please don't be discouraged to write the truth even if you and your fellow patriots of Nigeria feel that the govt is deaf, our ordinary folks (the electorates - the boss) are not - we are listening. Infact, you need to go to news-hubs like roundabouts of our major cities where most newspapers are sold and read in groups to see how the public devour your news, polls, editorials & commentaries. Your sincere efforts are not in vain because as the "4th estate of the realm," the public rely on you to help check the excesses of govt officials by informing the populace and advising them thru your commentaries and editorials as to what the public could do to compel govt to change its ways. I would also encourage you to engage other independent commentators like Prof Shilgba and Prof Nwabuzor excellent pieces in Nigeriaworld.com, a newslink from which we, in Diaspora, get our news and opinion. Perhaps you could invite them as quest columnist of op-eds on your daily newspaper for broader audiences within Nigeria. (all honest commentators about Nigeria should unite to defeat the cabal that are very dynamic in forming a united force - bribing journalist to be their mouthpiece for their selfish ambition, hence their success over the years because there is honor among thieves by working together). With this new cooperative approach by patriots like you and Arizona-Ogwu, Shilgba, Nwabuzor, Peterside, our people may benefit from their insight and be further educated about their rights and what they need to do to compel govt to shape up or ship out, immediately via referendum or wait till the next election cycle. Before, the public thought that the media was in bed with the govt to further defraud the nation and oppress the masses but currently you have proved your mettle as a responsible strong arm that would defend the interest of the poor that have suffered for too long. Please keep up the fight so as to keep our hopes and aspirations alive. Good job, guys!
