MUGABE STILL HAS NOT GOT IT!

Mugabe still has not got it and until he does there should be only humanitarian aid to Zimbabwe. He has not accepted that HIS leadership and crimes is the ONLY reason why Zimbabwe was turned from one of the best places in Africa to absolutely the worst! The economy in ruins, rampant crime and corruption. After signing the agreement with Morgan Tsvangirai, Mugabe still blamed the British and Americans. If these countries or Europe give money it will still only end up in Mugabe’s bank account and those of his army thugs that keep him in power. Mugabe must first show that he respects the agreement and then resign. The new Zimbabwe Parliament under Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai must hold Mugabe accountable – He needs to be tried for his crimes by new judges and not Mugabe’s appointees. Then and only then should donors return with full carefully managed aid!

Shame on you..you're an embittered, pathetic, defeated ,angry loser..While the rest of the progressive Zimbabwe population is relieved & ecstatic that the sun will now shine on us and be prosperous and happy family again,, losers like you still brag about hate language, animosity and a wish for a return to hostilities, Your anger stems from the fact that the deal didn't produce your "desired" outcome..Face it , whoever you're.. You're A MISERABLE LOSER...British led regime change agenda crumbled like a deck of cards.

Zimbabwe Voter wanted Regime change – Seems you have got it wrong too - just like Mugabe! It was the Zimbabwe Voter that brought the regime change and voted in Morgan Tsvangirai with the majority in parliament AND for president. Mugabe failed to accept that, and until he does donors should be wary and continue to support ZIMBABWE VOTERS by withholding full aid.

Zim voters are sovereign! Viters' voice is God's wish!

Mugabe is evil, otherwise he would have heeded the voice of the people. Those admiring Mugabe for all his crimes cannot at the same time appreciate Tsvangirai. They are at the opposite ends. One cannot eat his banana and at the same time keep it; Bloody hypocrites indeed.

It's a bad deal, but we will support Tsvangirai. Ultimately, Mugabe will be shown the exit. Like it or not!

Correct. Everything is falling into place quite neatly. Cde Chihuri has probably finished practizing that special salute given to the PM. It's all celebration in Zim skies - fireworks. The herald is learning to be civilized and we are getting somewhere. However, real aid can only come when we demonstrate we are at a point of no return..when we appoint ministers wisely and initiate serious internal change among ourselves. Otherwise it will land and simply dissappear..note they promised aid to a transational government, not current government. And its theirs so clearly they put their own conditions!

No economy of any nation is run by the so called donors! Do Zimbabwe a favour, tell your donors that they are not wanted. They can keep their imagined millions of dollars. Give it to Lehman Brothers!!! The Zimbabweans have called their bluff and Whoat? They unashamedly change the rules governing their offers of their so called finacial help. Rhodesia never got AID but was free to trade and had a free access to international trade and capital. That is what we want. Our young people are quite capable and are able to compete in the world theatre of trade and commerce. Make sure your "donor" friends keep away from Great Zimbabwe.

Mabhiza, "British led regime change agenda crumbled like a deck of cards." How can you say that!? Tsvangarai now has alot of power. The regime change is on the move! Just wait till the next election that WILL be free and fair, and the ZANU PF will be voted out for good, just like they should have been in May this year. A few years late, but like it or not, regime change is happening! This has to be a victory for those against the butcher of Harare! He's giving up his grip on power!

Still talking about last night and yesterday. KWAEDZA muchinda!!! Did you notice that lots of Zimbabweans were excited and relieved and yet there are people like you who would have loved to see a real physical war in Zimbabwe. Come on , my friend, lets all celebrate the peace brought on by our leadership. Lets build on it and construct a bright future for future generations. We have all come out of our hardship determined to see no repeat. Please tell the USA and the UK to keep their so called AID millions of dollars. We can prosper as long as we find a way around the so called targeted sanctions which are damned against all of us, whether one is ZANU or MDC. We are all victims of the dastard actions of AngloWorld.com. Zimbabweans do not want their money. We want the freedom to trade with the rest of the world, NOT patronising handouts. Have the USA and UK ever given that sort of money to any one before??? Theirs is just a nefarious pledge ... no more. MAKOROKOTO/AMHLOPE Zimbabwe !!!

My hopeless Aka47! You say Zimbabweans are exited?? 150 MDC supporters who were celebrating their new MP were physically assaulted by Mugabe thugs under police eyes, then bolted behind jail bars!!

You are heartless like the monster who buthered his innocent people while you keep praising the brutal assassination.

You better start fighting for transparency and accountability so that normalcy could return soon to the country.

You are talking about trade with SADC countries? How ignorant are you? No fools in neighbouring countries would export to Zimbabwe since the central bank has no foreign reserves to back business credit! ZANU-PF knows about it. That is why they are actively engaged in illegal export of maize, tobacco leaves and even petrol across the borders.

You need the money from the West to guarantee payments of imports. Ignorant people like you who prop up lunatics who engineer over 20 million per cent hyperinflation can only be referred to a psychiatric institution. But our priority now is about transparency and accountability even under Tsvangirai.

If you really want peace, join us. Lunatic Mugabe will never prosper in peace time and that's why he will continue to undermine Tsvangirai.

Wake up and boot Mugabe out first.

EU and USA will play a wait and see game, but that should not stop Zimbabwe from improving trade with it's neigbors, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia and Angola. Zimbabwe used to export goods and services to South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia and Botswana on a massive scale. My Batswana Friends used to vacation in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe needs to be open to the neigbors for business. At one time Zimbabwe universities used to have a lot of students from Neigbouring states. My family used to host Batswana secondary students. Our neigbors may help jump start the Zimbabwean economy.

South African and Anglo American mining giants all want to invest in Zimbabwe now! Zimbabwe needs to open up on a bigger scale than in past! Zimbabwe currently has no foreign currency to establish a mining economy.

Promises of aid, cash, manpower to Zimbabwe or Africa from the Western world are not new. After independence massive promises were made to Zimbabwe, and most were not kept. UK promised to reimburse white farmers, but ended up being just words and desire of the anglo-white hand to control everything. The G8 keep on promising aids/hiv relief etc and most of that promise is a massive failure and fraud!

Zimbabwe on it's own could try and approach small western and asia countries like Sweden, Canada, Norway, Germany, India and China who in the past have been tolerate to Zimbabwean. Approaching the UK many be a total waist of time.

I was born in the USA and I know of the Berlin Conference and the Transatlantic slave trade , 400 years of slavery, decades of human and civil rights abuses and the western destabilisation of progressive African movements, leaders, and governments.I feel disturbed when I watch Africans argue for us to abide by Western Standards, be accepted by their governments and at the same time, we have amnesia when its time to remind them of their hundreds of years of slavery, colonialism, neo colonialism and their continued strangulation of our development. Let us crticise and leave room for growth when we are dealing with our family. Praise god for a peaceful attempt to handle our family (pan african) business. Remember Bob Marley Said in Zimbabwe'" ...to divide and rule could only tear us apart...." I also find it interesting that many are speaking up for the white farmers who lost their African farms, but who is asking for justice for the generations of Africans who lost their lands, identities, and the rights of self determination and freedom. It's time for a change and we have to use our God given backbones and stand up. How can we face our ancestors and our future generations if we don't stand up for what is right and secure justice for the wrongs that have been committed against our families. And We Must also clean up our family business as well, but that is for us to do on our own cultural and genuine terms. Many nations have had over 500 years to prove if they genuinely love us as children of God. If they continue as brutes and don't seek forgiveness why should we keep trying to meet their standards? We must work on seeking forgiveness and security with those who are honestly in love with righteousness. Who loves your mother, father, sisters and brothers more than you? Let us work towards a free and redeemed Africa ... and world one love

You say "How can we face our ancestors and our future generations if we don't stand up for what is right and secure justice for the wrongs that have been committed against our families" and then you say "one world one love".

A bit contradictory dont you think? One world one love means love the white man like you would love the black man.

The EU and US ofcourse have to exercise some caution, even at personal level u cant just do things without first considering facts and practicality...Like Phiri has said, those do not stop Zim from trading with neighbours, and I think it will be much easier than travelling to the US...

Gole, I agree with you that the USA and other western allies have every right to be skeptical and even refuse to give aid to Zimbabwe.

Zimbabweans will also soon learn that when you ask for aid, you also do not include your demands in your letter of application. It takes a bit of humility to accept failure.

As a Zimbabwean myself, I'm shocked at an entitlement attitude. Even though I'm not too craze about foreign aid, I know that it has strings and conditions! Can Robert Mugabe accept that? That will be an interesting thing to watch!

Phiri... you are talking sense! The money will come from the east where dawn comes from. As of yesterday... the stockmarkets in the west are all reeling because Lehman (layman) Brothers antics but the Shanghai stock market was intact. This only shows where the quid will come from.

China is the only country that has managed to raise $1 trillion on IPOS in a matter of hours on three different occasions(bank/mobile phone/railways).
