A Zimbabwe power-sharing deal brokered by South Africa's former president, Thabo Mbeki, appears to be unravelling.
[ See Article ]
Since 2006 the west and china have had at their disposal a fraud proof voting system designed for use in the third world. They have refused to use this system because it opens a pandora s box with financial and resource implications. Mr alex weir. Harare
Now that many speakers at the UN, summit praised the power sharing deal & urged the world to give Zimbabweans a chance to chart their own destiny without external inteference, we thus appeal to Britain & their allies USA, Australia etc to respect world opinion and stop stalking & harassing President R.G.M.& us Zimbos. Britain which internationalised a purely bilateral dispute with Zim over land reform should lead the lifting of the ruinous economic sanctions on 13million Zimbabweans..The MDC, itself a British creation has conceded for the first time in a decade that Zimbabwe is under economic sanctions and it urged their lifting..and called for Britain to compensate white settler farmers(lancaster hse agreement 1979) so that this bilateral conflict is resolved..Britain should shoulder full responsibillity for the turmoil it did to a prosperous , peaceful nation.
My Dear Mabhiza, external interference is necessary, and is a must, when a murderer like Mugabe violates the basic rights of a majority of his own citizens, when he presides over a banana-type of rotten republic, when he clings to power illegitimately.
Mbeki's resignation over allegations of his interference in judicial matters must provide you with the clue over the fate a democratic nation would reserve for a devil like Mugabe!!
Wake up and join the movement calling for Mugabe to be prosecuted for all the crimes he has committed against innocent Zimbos! Ask yourself why 4 millions of your people have had to run away from Mugabe's terror?
For Zimbabwe to join the league of respectable nations, Mugabe must be kicked out unceremoniously. Tsvangirai has signed the deal under duress for the higher interest of the country while Mugabe is, as usual, playing the devil.
Would you have the courage to read the writings on the wall? Well, you better do so.
prem, prem...defeated, embittered..You must be kicking yourself hard..regime change agenda goes up in smoke!!..At one point u detractors thought u had cornered us..but we slipped out of the corner..The 2 MDCs officially conceded to the existence of the ruinous illegal economic sanctions which drove our compatriots into the diaspora...Then they agree on irrevesibility of land reform program..man , did u see how CDE BOB electrified the United Nations with his articulate and incisive speech that left our detractors bowing their heads in shame &agony ..Long live CDE BOB!! LONG LIVE.I salute u..
3 Hoorays for his Excellence, the President of Great Zimbabwe, Robert Gabriel Mugabe. Vana weVU vano kutsigirai, Sekuru. Baba Johani nga wakomborere nyika ye Ruwaniko. Ameni.
3 hoorays rather to Zuma!! His reps threatened Mugabe in New York with a selected boycott should he continue to play his rotten scheme with the 50/50 formula concerning denial of key ministries to MDC! Mugabe was bluntly told to cooperate or else expect to be booted out without any consideration for a safe exile in Africa!
Everybody knows that Mugabe cannot survive even 24 hours should SA decide to corner him over his illegitimate hold on power and for his criminal past.
It seems Mugabe has well understood where his security lies and will concede key ministries to MDC at the next meeting.
Zuma will certainly keep a close watch over how lunatic Mugabe will behave in the coming months.
Zuma was very disappointed that Mugabe had prevented Tsvangirai from attending the UN meeting where SA had already pre-arranged a series of meetings between Tsvangirai and financial institutions. Mugabe's silly games will have to stop if ever he wants to finish his days quietly.
"Zuma" you shout, baasi Solusi-scout.... are you talking about the current president of the ANC of South Afrika OR you have in your racist mind a Zuma, a creation of your vile imagination???? My Zuma of the ANC will never do such a thing. Watch this space, troublemaker!!!!
Mabhiza, you make me laugh. You think the regime change has gone up in smoke, yet you forget that Mugabe has now lost alot of his power, and the rest is not far away. Just wait till there is a true democratic election and Mugabe will be gone for good. I think Mbeki's plan all along was to eash the power out of Mugabe's grasp, to reduce any chance of violence in Zim. Believe it or not, regime change is happening. And the MDC are the ones gaining power.
Now why should the west trade with Zim when it is the 14th most corrupt country in the world? Sort out the corruption that Mugabe has fostered, and then people will want to invest in Zimbabwe. It has nothing to do with land. Dont try and kid yourself that it is.
Perhaps so, perhaps so, my honorable young man ... whatever parameters they used to reach that conclusion ... thats their prerogative. But can these same people come up and produce a list of the MOST CORRUPTING countries or corporations in the world. While they are at it, they may as well list for us the counties which provide hiding banks and storage for the trillions dollars stolen by both our politicians and commercial leaders. Nothing judgemental but only a list of the most corrupting and a list of those who provide facilities to our heartless and misguided robbers. Go on please ..doit!!! Our children out to know....chinyi chinoworesa nyama kana zviyo. NHUNZI ndawa aniko tishandise KILLEM.
Hey Aka47! Why not about the list of countries! Good to note you acknowledge your rotten politicians (nay, Mugabe thugs) siphoned off trillions of USDollars out of the country.
I now disclose to you the countries that are reportedly stacking up the illegal loots of Mugabe and thugs, as hereunder:
Malaysia where Mugabe has deposited over USD 400,000,000 Swaziland where Mugabe is hiding over USD 50,000,000 Libya where Mugabe is hiding another USD 300,000,000 China where he is holding over USD 800,000,000 Switzerland where is is hiding another USD 500,000,000 under a nine-digit coded number.
Mugabe is considered to be in the group of the ten richest men from Africa!
The way you defend the murderer, I assume you must have also benefitted from his blood money! Why do you defend the undefendable? He was the laughing stock of the world at the UN! He is considered a man of no words. He is growing more and more senile day by day to the extent that now he is not even able to understand the meaning of 50/50!!
If ever the world would remember this murderer, it would be for his lunaticism of provoking hyperinflation of over 20 million per cent. Nothing else !!
Baasi Solusi-scout, you are a liar and a manipulator of facts and figures. The heart and centre of Off-shore banking is LONDON (UK) and NEW YORK (USA). These two countries are proud of their status of being at the forefront of the business of looking after the trillions of dollars which they facilitate storage at a great profit to themselves. You are not capable of being truthful for fear of annoying the people who bankrole your group. Now that you have told me about my president's supposedly stolen money, would you be so kind to complete the list with names like....Odinga, Kenyatta clan, Ndiko and the rest of the Nigerian political leadership, the Ghanian mafia and Seretse Khama to mention a few. You are free to add your own names of "robbers and thieves". Please do not be unashamedly selective, Eeh! Baasi Solusi-scout.
ps, Mabhiza, why do you support and condone a man who has so blatantly beaten, raped and murdered your fello Zimbabweans to keep power? Their blood is on your hands.
Mbilhazia , your poor addled brains must be full of bilhazia or pumpkin seeds, kabunga majoda ! You scoundrels have slipped no where except into meeting with the greak Nkosi and a one way ticket to hell !
Mugabe squandered in excess of 2 million US dollars to give his 15 minute speach, that was not praised by world learders, in fact the hall was almost empty. Then being a true statesmand he proceeded to call a female journalist a witch. Why waste a fortune on himself, his wife and 40 other boodsuckers while the population of Zimbabwe suffers. Mugabe and his bunch of thieves (Note zimabbwe is listed as the 14th most corrupt country in the world) must leave and let someone honest come in and lead the country to recovery. There will never be any substantial investment with Mugabe at the helm. See the light and errors of your ways.
Who compiled this list of the most corrupt countries? GOD? The Archangel Gabriel? NO of course!!!! It is the left hand of the same corporate body, or body politic, who right hand set up the bank accounts where the trillions of dollars are kept. Wake up my friend! Kwacha! Kwaedza! Dont make friends with the tail a big nyoka. It is still one with the head. Still. You have not furnished me with the list the MOST CORRUPTING COUNTRIES and CORPORATIONS. Give us the list please please.
akapfunde, I see that you are just dancing around the revelation of Zimbabwe's corruption scale but dodging and ignoring the horrific revelation by Prem of the mind boggling amounts of money Mugabe has stolen from Zimbabwe and stashed in various parts of the world. What do you have to say to that?
It cant be true if you wont tell us USA and UK off shore banks involvement in all this serious thievery and robbing of food from the mouths of orphans.
Akapfunde you are in stinking denial. My hope is that wherever and in as how many banks as this money is , it must remain frozen until Zimbabwe demands it back through the international courts of law. My fear is that once the sanctions against lunatic Mugabe are lifted, this money and other frozen assets may be lost to Zimbabwe for ever. Fools like you Akapfunde do not realize that Mugabe is a trickster and a bullshitter. He shouts and screams and puts all kinds of blame to the West to cover up what bad HE has done in Zimbabwe, and meanwhile, you spineless and brainless lot go along with him. Like the idiots that you are, when your stomachs are rumbling for food you and your stupid Mugabe start shouting to the Western countries, "Give us your money. Give us some food". Your country has a great chance right now to make the unity government work by allowing Mr Tsvangirai and MDC take control of the ministries that will allow the international community to come to your aid. But no. You keep holding onto a loser Mugabe and keep barking at the West like those nuisance dogs that keep barking at nothing. Wake up already!
You are drunk with anger, my good friend. Believe it or not these same British banks have resisted returning to Nigera and Kenya the millions transferred or stolen, as you prefer to say. Why? Because making dosh from stolen money has been the game of the UK banking system ... remember the millions stashed away by the likes of kings of Egypt, Libya and leaders of the midEast long before the time of Nasser and Pan Arabianism... thats long before the granting of the so called independence of African states became fashionable to the grand planners of European interests. Mugabe has done a lot for Zimbabwe but he made a mistake of crossing swords with the English who wont let go of a challenge to they win ..ask the Germans. RMG set out to ensure you young people own your own homes and most of you do have more than one houses which are not under any mortgage

Akapfunde , it is a serious crime under international law for any bank to use or utilize frozen money or assets for any purpose. First, that frozen money has to be proven stolen by demanding nations through international courts of law before it can be returned. If the nations of Nigeria and Kenya have stolen money still lying in international banks, then perhaps they have not done enough in the courts of law to prove the money was stolen from their nations. Or, perhaps the current leaders have also stolen and stashed money from their respective countries, so why open a Pandora's box. When banks receive deposits, no one stands at the door and asks if you are depositing stolen money. These banks have millions and millions of depositors from all over the world and the only way that they get to know about stolen assets, is when nations start initiating investigations or when there is an international call to sanction individuals by freezing their money and other assets, a recent case in mind being Mugabe and some of his Zanu-pf ministers. As for Mugabe "crossing swords", all I can say is that those swords were crossed with the Zimbabwean people when he not only drove them to a brink of disaster but killed thousands of them. If by saying this makes me "drunk with anger", so be it.
l too have some tiny ideas about banking. In December 1965 l got a job as a teller trainee at Barclays Bank, Tanganyika House across from the Houses of Assembly. ln January 1966 the job was classified as a whites only occupation for new recruits ( it was just after UDI)and Mr Leigh, the manager, said he was sorry to see me go and he offered me a job as an officeboy instead...hoping to smuggle me through the backdoor later. My pride got the better of me, l refused and went back to St Ignatius college to do my 'A' levels. Now about the reluctance of UK banks to return stolen money, it appears that you will do anything to sanitise the unscrupulousness of those who set out to make money in Africa .... especially the colonialists and settlers. All take missionary positions and patronise and abuse their relations with Africans. Dont accuse me.... l did not say there are no bad boys in the family. But l wonder why they all are always surrounded by Angloworld.com bsy bodies.
Hey, if I was prone to "sanitizing the unscrupulous", Mugabe would have been my first choice. In fact, I would have used acid to cleanse him. If as you say you have had experience as a teller at Barclays Bank, then you should be able to tell me how many people who deposited at your bank you ask if the money they were depositing was stolen or not. How many? None because that is not the practice of any bank. Even if Mugabe had had the stolen money of the country of Zimbabwe deposited in your Barclays Bank at that time, the bank would not have known until lawyers and police had come knocking, although in the case of Zimbabwe, perhaps one of his shamwaris in the bank such as you, may have quietly known of the theft.
That was in Rhodesia, my friend. Such things did not happen then. The Rhodesians did not think it a special achievement to own several 4x4s vehicles, three or more houses in one town and the rhodesian did not go out of the way to own everything through maDEAL but by hard work. HE may have been downright racist but dishonesty ... NEVER!!! Wrongly ..the RF rhodesian saw threats from the African progress. Isu tine tsinye yekubarwa nayo!!! The rhodesian did not think that its progress to own a MERCK when your mother lives in a grass hut or when your village or growth point has no toilets. Most growthpoints have unpaved surrounds. We do not deserve to run anything because we are incapable and unable to deliver a modern service despite our university degrees. In 1968, l was one of the first Africans to study at Salisbury polytechnic and despite the unashamed racism, the farmer boys delivered a working service. The other day l walked through this same place, things are falling apart. l literelly cried when l was confronted by a totally run down CIVIC centre! Varume, whats the way forward for the sake of the children? please, do not blame ZANU .... madhorodhoro ematosi in the chicken koop are not from the JONGWE only. We are all responsible. Lets all clean up the mess...our mess.
You know Akapfunde, I really think you are a very confused person. One minute you say Rhodesia was the pits, and now you are saying things were ship-shape and even those who were racist were honest "and the Rhodesian did not go out of the way to own everything". So why are you guys shouting about them owning farms? Are you then just accusing them of "taking the land?" In other words what you are saying is that even though they were racists they were honorable people. This does not jive with me. Maybe that is why you see Mugabe as an honorable killer.
Surely, one could be a racist and still be honourable! Dont tell me that you are that simple minded, with a one dimension line of thought, that you are incapable of seeing these traits in one person. For example, you could count on Hitler or the Native Commisioner of Mrewa district to be honorable but racist at the same time. One may not be nice or pleasant but reliable and trustworth to deliver any service. The Rhodesians were down and out racists but you could count on them to run the farms properly. In that respect they were honorabe though not likeable by those victims of their actions who were aware of their entitlements to Human Rights. And yet many were happy with their lot under them ..eg the masses of Nyasarande farm workers. Harare township was run by an openly racist but patronising team of Charles Briggs et all but this team kept the municipality services working. They were an honourable bunch of rhodies. The system in rhodesia kept my race at the bottom. People like Isaac Samuriwo, Chad Chipunza and Jasper Savanhu were able people but were kept down. That was unacceptable. But the rhodies can be relied on and honoured their promises.
Aka, I agree with you that White Rhodes were racists and had a private agenda about white supremacy. But, things in Zimbabwe have changed for the worst under Robert Mugabe. What we are all witnessing aka is true dictatorship from Robert Mugabe.
The economy is sinking, there is poverty, disease and hunger in Zimbabwe. Robert Mugabe is yesterday's news. It is time to move on!! Just look at the corruption by Mugabe's cabinet ministers and their sons and daughters. These guys are now criminals.....Mugabe wants to stay in power until he dies and that is very selfish of him. He is setting himself up for a murderous end and possibly prosecuted as a criminal and murderer.
There are so many other capable people in Zimbabwe who can replace Mugabe.
Well said Phiri. You too appear to have a slit personality and from time to time you become lucid and make great sense - this post being one.
Sorry Akapfunde, in my book, no racist can ever be honorable. Honour is the highest form of recognition you can pay to someone which we reserve for those we hold in great esteem and respect. Hitler honourable? How? There is nothing admirable about anyone responsible for so much death and suffering. You say, "The system in Rhodesia kept my race at the bottom". Well, how honourable! I think you are mixed up between a work ethic and honour.
One can be a racist and still be able to do good for his people and country. Good examples are Adolf Hitler and Mussolini. Germany is still the results of projects initiated by Hitler. Some of the best buildings ever built in modern Italia were set up by the DULCET. The rhodies were able to deliver services. People like me who grew up in urban areas (Bornlocations) of Salisbury, remember receiving free education at Highfield North school (Mbizi) and elsewhere in the Capital city. We had cricket equipment etc ... thats in the 1950s. But the system of gvt was racist. We were screened for diseases at the Chest Centre in Lobengula road ... now the Medical stores ..FREE! Its easy to blame Mugabe and his team for all our reverse development. The fact is we were not ready to run a country and thats why back in the 1950s and early 1960s, all the meetings l attended at the Cyrill Jennings hall were all about the demand for equal CIVIL RIGHTS and not independence. The Southern Rhodesia Youth League, led by George Nyandoro, James Chikerema and others was about the removal of colour bar and gaining Civil Rights, independence was never mentioned. The achievement of civil rights almost happened under the Rhodesian Prime minister, Sir Edgar Whitehead. Unfortunately the beast arrived in the form the Rhodesia Front under Harper and Field ( Ian Smith was not yet prominent) Our attitude and our view of what success is is different from the white men's or the Indian in 1948 or other Asians ... we are the only people who think that owning Merc or Lexus etc is a measure of success and progress even though your mother etc is still living in a grass hut and has no access to clean water and a decent toilet. I do not consider the building up of Blair toilets in the 21st century as progress ... check their effect of the local water table. Like pigs, we may defend our self respect and continue to praise our home ..the STY.
Nope not god it was the world that made up the list on numerous facts. If you are unable to see this then I do feel sorry for you. You must be one of those tsotsi's that have been stealing along with Bob. Now you know there will soon be a knock on your door with the local polizai there to tak you away. Then you will cry and claim, Ah I am not the one. It was Bob who instructed me! My friend get a life and get a brain.
Even those who cannot read and write already know how much disregard Mugabe has for the ZImbabwean population. To be in New York when the country is in such bad shape just shows who he believes he is - a lord unto his people. The good thing is that God gave each man only so many days on this earth, otherwise the remaining paupers in Zimbabwe would be eternally doomed.
