The Congolese army has sent reinforcements to Ituri in the northeast after several attacks by suspected militia from the rebel Front de Résistance Patriotique en Ituri (FRPI), sources said.

It appears that Congo is no longer capable of ensuring security for its citizen. As it calls on the UN to do their job and the UN does does so; Therefore Eastern Congo Should be declared not part of Congo. The UN should from now on take administration of that region, and take full responsibility of solving the problems which are being experienced there.
