Efforts to find a solution to the nation's lingering stock market meltdown continue today as officials of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) meet to work out a plan that will inject private funds to bail out the market.

Basing my argument on the title alone, I am not surprised that Nigeria is suffering from an economic donwturn. Nigeria has surprisingly become a mirrow image of the United States of America. I realised this long ago and far away at the Ikoyi hotel, lagos Island. Talk of girls, gambling, rock and roll and beer!
