A non governmental security body, the Security Watch Africa has given former Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Ghanaian Vice President Aliu Mahama, and Nigeria's Deputy Inspector General of Police Uba Ringim golden star awards for their roles in keeping peace in Africa.
