Hi i am new comer to this site. I am very happy to post my comment in this site. I gathered lot of information from this site. Credit Card Debt
I do not know the statistics of the Wa Municipality very well but I observe that something is inaccurate about the picture given.
To start with, the scheme manager said they registered 9,561 people in all. According to him (in the article),this figure represents 81% of the total population. So, if 81% is 9,561 then 100% will be 100 over 81 by 9,561 or 100/81*9561. According to my excel sheet this formular returns 11803.7037 So we can conclude that total population is 11,804 people (according to the article.) The number of registered pregnant women alone stands at 8,230, according to the scheme manager.
MY PROBLEM:
Either the total population of the Wa Municipality is not 11,804 or the number of registered pregnant women is not 8,230. so definitely some information is not well prensented.
So the manager should define the total population or check his figures for the Wa Municipality.
According to the Wikipaedia,(http://www.anwers.com/topic/2000)the 2000 Census put the total population for Upper West at 576,583.We have seven districts in the region and Wa is the 8th and happens to be the only Municipality which its population is larger than any of the others. Even if we divide the 576,583 equally among the 8 assembly areas, we get 72,072.875. Clearly the population of Wa is more then this figure.
We are also forced by this to assume that the figure 11,804 can only represent the population of pregnant women in the municipality rather than the total population. This is however not clearly stated to mean so.
