Cde Mabhiza - you rail about Morgan Tsvangirai acting in bad faith; well I have a simple question for you - would you be happy for MDC to be given the cabinet posts that Robert Mugabe recently had gazetted in favour of zanu-pf? If that is a fair and equitable distribution in a power sharing arrangement between equals, then you would not have any concerns if MDC were given those positions and zanu-pf to others.Am I right?

Katz(Kiti), Your question is silly and stupid. In the first place those ministries cannont be given to a stooge, a coward, a sellout like Tsvangi. He should be conntent with what he got because it was actually generous for Zanu pf to give a loser sucn powerful ministries.

Zanu pf got popular vote on 29 March and the President trounced Tsvagnrai on 27 June so there is no way there could be a swap of ministries. In an case allocation of ministries is the prerogative of the President of the country and Tsvangirai is not one.

You therefore should never talk of EQUALS when referring to Zanu pf - the winning party, the revolutionary party and the liberation party of Zimbabwe - and MDC a stooge party, a proxy of imperialists, a party led by a man who has caused untold suffering to Zimbabweans by calling for sanctions on the Zimbabwean, a party that has adopted the Selous Scouts style of violence whereby they kill civilians (including their own supporters) and blame it on their opponents.

Cde Ndebvu - regarding my 'silly ahd stupid question'; I, like the rest of the world, according to you, have seemingly mistakingly understood that the agreement was to be the basis of a sharing of power between equals, save for the fact that the MDC factions were to have a majority of cabinet seats, to reflect the fact that they won the election of 29 March. (If you bother to read the agreement it makes it clear that the election of March 29 is the basis of the sharing of power, and further that MDC won that election.)

Whatever happens in the near future, the agreement is irreversible as well as irrefutable evidence of zanu-pf's loss of power now that Mugabe has been forced to admit Tsvangirai into government. The next step will see zanu-pf losing the presidency and very soon after that the party will collapse into insolvency as it is no longer able to steal from the government coffers. At the same time the party will splinter into various break away factions as new leaders try to distance themselves from the madness that has brought the country to its knees.

You can enjoy as much hysterical rant as you like; but the collapse of zanu-pf is now an absolute certaintity. It lost the chance to survive when it refused to do any succession planning. It should have learnt from the ANC; instead it will now go down with Robert Mugabe.

By the way Cde Ndebvu, what do you think of Robert Mugabe signing the agreement in the first place? You have described Morgan Tsvangirai and MDC in such disparaging terms that it must be difficult for you to understand why Mugabe decided to sign the agreement at all. Please let me know.

People like Mugabe, Takunya and Mabhiza, just want themselves to be prosperous. The government of Zimbabwe should serve the people of Zimbabwe, not the other way around. And Mugabe should listen to the people when they say they want him to retire and let others take Zimbabwe forwards. His ego is still sitting 30 years ago when Zim was liberated. My husband died during the Chimurenga 3 when he had gone to invade farms and I am being told I will only get compensation after the sanctions and when Britain compensates the then commercial farmers. Its almost three years now I have been going to different Zanu PF office and being told that zvichanaka chete after the reserve bank gets forex from the compensating countries is that true? Is there anyone who can enlighten me I have six children to look after?

Yet again we see Robert Mugabe flanked by his buddies the SADC's troika of Mozambique,Swaziland and Angola. What chance of meaningful pressure on Mugabe is there when he is surrounded just by his cheer leaders in the absence of the stronger supporters of democracy such as Botswana and Tanzania. I believe even Joseph Kabita, the Congolese president, whose father Laurent was given crucial military support by Mugabe during their civil war ending in 2000, was there cheer leading too.
